I find that my digicam is great with landscape. You just have to set it to the right setting. In my digicam, I would get very bad results if the setting is wrong but if its right, then I get very good pictures indeed. You could check the manual for the right setting just like what I did.

if you are the type who needs photos to be examined or make really good photos with your camera then i would suggest you get an SLR camera rather than relying on you digital pocket camera because you can a better depth with an SLR digital camera( the big black bulky big lenses).if you are just taking pictures for file then a pocket digicam will do. or at times it is how you take pictures. there are friends whom i know who can take good photos by just using their digicam at 2megapixels.

It depends on the camera. The higher megapixels you have the better your resolution. Also depends on what kind of light settings your camera has, such as if it has the capability to adjust a picture based on the existing lighting. Or if you can tell it manually that you're in outdoor or indoor lighting. There's also cameras that can spot focus, center focus and even have a landscape focus. What kind of camera do you have?
