I was wondering today if you would tell a complete stranger something like..your zipper is down or you have something on your face..ect?? I was thinking of this because today at work a gentelman came to the counter and I happened to notice his zipper was down. No I wasnt looking I saw a glint of silver and it caught my eye. I said politly and quietly enough no one esle heard..Sir your zipper is down. He looks and says "Holy crap! Your right!" LOL! "Thank you." and zipped it up. So I was wondering about other people. Would you tell someone or would you just keep going on your way?? Now concider this. Would you want someone to tell you that something like that was wrong with you?? Would you be offended or gratefull? I would want someone to tell me. I would say thank you and not feel offended about it. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

My theory is...I'd want to know if there was mustard in the corner of my mouth, so I'm glad to let someone know there is tissue on their shoe! I wouldnt feel offended at all. Sometimes when i'm standing in line somewhere i want to pick stuff off the person in front of me, like a hair or a string, not really noticeable unless you're right behind them ya know...but some people might get offended being touched, so I dont, but if its something i could tell them and they could reach or others could see too, then i say something to them.

I am pretty good at reading facial expressions and body language. The folks I would tell are: Folks who are causual and seem approachable Frazzled parents Co-workers Elderly folks Folks I wouldn't tell: Drunks (do they really care?) Teenage boys (they can wear saggin pants that show off their boxers, so why would they care if their fly was down?) Teenage girls (They let their thong stick out of the back of their pants, why bother?) snobby looking business folks who are busy w/ cell phone in hand. (They drive like that too, let the open barn door going unnoticed be their punishment)

Well, for a stranger, I find it difficult to tell him (her) if something is wrong with them as I don’t have a wit to make the conversation. But for a person I know, I will definitely tell him (her) as I know their character that can help me to tell them in a nice and relax way. Obviously, I would be grateful if someone can tell me that something like that was wrong with me so that it can be rectified earlier to avoid any further unnecessary embarrassment.

No, I do not think I would say to someone that there was something like that I would be too embarrassed! I also would not want them to point it out to me either! I would not be offended if someone did, I would just be extremely embarrassed, especially if my zip was down and someone had noticed it!

I have in the past but, it sometimes depends on how confident I am that day. I know that sounds weird but, my own confidence can make me less or more likely to speak to someone in public. LOL! And, I would want someone to say something to me because there have been times when I was out and about and came back and saw myself in the mirror the next time and there was something in my teeth or on my face and I wonder how long it was there and am embarrassed for my past self and remain embarrassed for a bit longer throughout the day. So, I actually get offended if no one said anything to me about what I had going on. LOL! But, yes, I have told someone their fly was down or that they had tp trailing their shoe.

I think that was really thoughful on ur part to be telling teh gentleman about his zipper being undone!!! I would certainly tell a person if i'm caught in such a scenario that his zipper is down or maybe the dress has gone too low on her cleavage... personally i would also appreciate if a stranger walks upto me and let me know about teh uncomfortable situation that i am in so that i'm saved from the snide remarks from the rest in teh later part of the day!!!

Thank you. Im glad you would tell someone. Most people said they wouldnt tell a stranger for the simple fact that they are a stranger. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

You can tell a man that his stable door is open, but assure him that the horse is still in. Unless it is out, and at this point he will probably already know. This puts a bit of humor into the situation so he won't be embarrassed. If a lady comes from the washroom with her skirt caught in her panties the polite thing is to say,"Lady I admire your Panties, but do you have to show them to everyone?"

LOL! Never thought of saying something like that. But then again would they understand or would you be making a bigger deal out of the situation?? ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Hello copperkitten I found myself laughing after reading the first paragraph of your discussion. I can imagine the scene and how that man reacted when you told him his zipper was down LOL. You did the right thing. Although for me, I don't think I can do that I'm afraid I'll get him offended but if that man is not a stranger I mean a friend of mine or someone I'm acquainted with I will tell him what's wrong with him. There was a time that I also forgot to zip my zipper and when I found it myself I'm thinking back if somebody saw me with my zipper down but the thought that nobody inform me makes me forgot about that funny thing easily.

I would definitely tell my friend or associate such a thing, but I don't think I would bother telling a stranger. I would probably just ignore it as best as I could. Sorry, but that's what I think I'd honestly do... I would hope someone would tell me, though, so maybe I'm a hypocrite. I wouldn't want to walk around like that!
