Hi Guys! Do you have any suggestions in order to make dog's fur shiny and healthy? A friend of mine recommends cod liver oil. I just make my dog drink it. Aside from that, she told me to comb my dog's hair often.

I have worked with animals for the past 8 years first at a Humane Society and then a vet and am currently a dog groomer, baccon grease is good if your dogs stomache can handle it but the thing we always did was feed science diet and after about a month on that they had the shinny silky coat and the min I took my dogs off of it thier coat went dull. there is also a shampoo called Touch of Mink which I use.

Mixing a raw egg in the food can help with us. Of course washing and conditioning the hair along with brushing it makes the biggest difference. Just like you would do with your own hair, the things that aid it in making it shiny and healthy are things that will aid the dogs hair. I would recommend "Mane and Tail", it's sold in the human and dog shampoo aisles. They have shampoos and conditioners and I think Wal-Mart has a generic version.

That should be with this not us. Mixing a raw egg with the dry dog food helps.

A bit of vegetable oil on their food helps alot too. When I make bacon I give her a spoonful of bacon grease on her food. She loves it and it helps add oils to her skin naturally.

OATMEAL SHAMPOO! :) I bathe both my dogs in Oatmeal Shampoo and their fur feels like SILK after they're dry! I found this shampoo once that also had a vanilla scent to it (you can find these kinds in most pet stores) so not only did they feel silky soft, but they also smelled so good! I'd definitely recommend any shampoo with oatmeal! :)
