Watching television versus watching on the computer

When I was younger, I'd watch television for hours on end until I got a headache, got hungry, or had to go to bed. Nowadays, there are so many ways to watch TV shows on the internet that I find I'm barely in front of the television anymore. I still watch television if I want to watch sports (March Madness ftw!) or any special premieres but the time I spent watching TV was cut drastically recently. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi Stegeo, Welcome to mylot. I love the fact that if I miss one of my favorite shows I can go on line and 9 times out of ten can catch the entire episode on the network website. I even have DVR yet rarely use it. it has not cut down on my TV watching but I do not have to feel hurried to finish what ever I am in the middle of to get in front of the TV now to catch the new episodes.

Hehe, I sometimes forget how awesome it is to watch almost any show on the internet now. In fact, I'm currently watching the Seinfeld episode, "The Masseuse."

I spend a lot of time on my computer, but I have never watched a television program, film or DVD on it. I am still old fashioned enough to believe that a television is for watching programs and a computer is for other purposes.

My son doesn't have cable tv now, but watches a lot of his shows on his computer. march madness is on tv right now by the way, which is why I'm on the computer.
