SHOCKING.....Hedgehog used as weapon in attack!

A man in New Zealand has been accused of a prickly attack on a teenager - using a hedgehog as a weapon!
William, 27 is said to have launched the spiky creature at a 15 year old boy in the North Island east coast of Whakatane.
The animal was later discovered dead :( but it was unclear whether it was alive when it was thrown! (Does it matter if it was alive or not???!!)
The youth suffered several puncture wounds and a large gash on his leg but did not need hospital treatment.
Police arrested William shortly afterwards and was charged with assault using a weapon "namely the hedgehog."
He could face upto five years in prison if convicted. It remains clear if he will also face animal cruelty charges.
Whats your opinon???

I'd say if it he threw something at the kid and it hurt him, then he's liable and should pay his dues, regardless of what the weapon was.
How odd. Who would even think to pick up a hedgehog?

It is an odd thing to throw!!
The story didnt say of the boy did anything to annoy the man!
I think he should pay, especially if the hedgehog was alive when it was thrown!! Would he not be done with murder if it was proven that the hedgehog was alive before being thrown???

i don't really know what to think about something like that its like something that a little kid would tell or something because i don't know who would think that something like this could actually happen...i mean i don't know who would ever try anything like this...i think that he should face charges and animal charges too because it hurt the hedgehog....i think that this person should serve a lot of time in jail...
