i was amazed to find that some people only washed their sheets every 2-3 weeks, where i wash mine weekly sometimes more, depending if it is summer or winter.i suppose each to their own,but i was wondering what most people did.cheers sue

Well Sue here in Blighty I take the sheets down to the river once they are stiff enough to no longer soften from the monthly beating that I give them. Once you've lain in your own muck for a while you get used to it and there doesn't seem much point in washing them. You are only going to soil them again. I'm a bit of a dribbler in bed and the pillow cases need to be turned regularly. But I have found that if you stick to a neutral colour it doesn't show so much. Thinking of sticking, that's when it really is time to head to the bankside and start to pound those sheets with a rock..... and if you believe all that. Weekly, or my guts are garters!

your a classic p1ke,i think i would have to beat you if you laid in your dribble for a month, and take you to the river and give you a darn good wash,as well as your linen,as well as a little pounding with those rockslol.cheers sue

Stop Stop. All that beating will only excite me. I am an English former Public schoolboy you know. We are trained to like that sort of treatment. Crave it even!

I actually wash our sheets about every 2 weeks but I have my own blanket that I sleep on and that gets washed every week if not more. I'm kind of a fanatic that likes to wash my blankets and sheets all the time and Hubby likes to "nest" in his so we compromise...I wash mine as much as I want and I wash his about every two weeks. We both sleep in the same bed but I have my own blankets to sleep on and cover up with. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Isn't that funny how nice clean sheets, blankets and pillowcases tend to make you sleep better? Here it is 9:30 at night and I'm wishing I'd washed my bedding today b/c now you've got me thinking about it. It is great that we can compromise...it's what makes our marriage work :) **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I only wash my sheets when I have a full load, to save on electricity, but I have more than one set of sheets, so I change them once a week in the winter and twice a week in the summer.

I try to get to mine about once a week. Nothing like crawling into a freshly made bed with fresh clean sheets.

I was sheets weekly too, including our pillow cases. But if we've had visitors who went in our room and sat on the bed then I'd change them after they have left. Even if the sheets were just changed that morning. lol!

I prefer to wash my bed sheets weekly. When I was at boarding school our bed sheets got washed weekly but our duvet covers were done fortnightly so I have always got into the habit of washing my bedding weekly. I wouldnt like to sleep in a bed knowing that the sheets had been on it for longer than 2 weeks, thats digusting! Yuck!!

I wash my sheets once a week and love when the weather is nice and can put them back on the bed straight away. My son has his own place and if it was not for dear mummy I don't know if he would think to change his! I guess if he showers each day I could think it not so bad BUT there is something about hopping into a bed with fresh sheets! Gee think I need to get a life! lol

Hi there. I usually wash our sheets once a week and thats every sunday morning, So every sundays our beds have fresh linen and then I do it all over again. If we have visitors then our visitor linen is washed as soon as they leave or during if they're staying longer. These are my house rules, if nobody likes it then I'd say, dont stay. Have a good one...

I wash my sheets every week in hot water. I have allergies and wash all my bedding often. I know some people have comforters or spreads that have to be drycleaned and don't clean them that often.
