I feel that my efforts are still lacking or I don't know if I'm really making less of efforts that's why I'm quite curious as to how you maintain your relationship with God? Do you keep a journal in pondering on His word? or do you join religious organizations?

We all are lacking in our efforts to maintain a relationship with God. We fall short of that. My efforts is I read the Bible, go to church every week, sometimes twice. I am in training to be a minister, i pray, i lead a cancer support group and so much more. But I still feel like there is more that I could do.

Hi lonely_f16, i believe we are on the same shoes and it even leads to somehow "jealousy" to my christian friends since they are very close to GOD but why can't I also experienced the same. I learned that all I have to do is to talk to him and meditate on his words. I also learned that I cannot make it through my own effort and all I have to do is present to him my weakness and ask for his presence and he will do the rest.

Hello, I pray daily to the Father. I read His Word, the Bible. I pray every morning before I get up, I pray throughout the day and I read His Word and pray on my knees at night. The evening is my special time alone with God. It's so important to speak and to listen to God everyday. It is also very important to read His Holy Word, the Bible. It tells all about God and Who He is and how great His love is for you. Ask God to speak to you and for you to be able to hear His voice. Also, find a good Bible-believing church. It is important to have fellowship with other believers, to grow in your faith and encourage others and be encouraged. It is a joy to praise and worship God! God wants you to know Him personally. Seek Him and you will find Him! God bless!
