"It isn't what you have or who you are or where you are or what you're doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It's what you think of it. Two people may be in the same place, doing the same thing, and yet one may be miserable and the other happy. Why? Because of a different mental additude." While I was reading a book last night, I came across this. It really helped me realize alot about myself. Does reading this paragraph have any effect on you, or did you already know the imformation that this paragraph has to offer? Do you agree with what it says, or do you disagree?

That is what is called a mental satisfaction. Both might be doing the same thing. One gets the mental satisfaction of what he or she is doing and so she is happy. the other one cannot that satisfaction and so very very miserable. That is the main point here. I believe in that. I had already heard this from my father long time back and I always believe in it. I have to have the mental satisfaction in all the things I do, otherwise I get bored and will surely get miserable. All the best. That wasa very good discussion you have started.

I have something similar written down I found somewhere. It says: "The Happiness of my Life Depends on the Quality of my Thoughts." I like to leave little notes like that around so I can read them. I've also read the book "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie. It was a really good book! I agree with what you said. It makes me happy to read things like that.

The book I am reading is by Dale Carnegie's daughter, I think. And some things she said in the book are actually quotes from him.

It's called How To Win Friends & Influence People For Teen Girls. It isnt really about "winning" friends or "influencing" people, neccessarily. It just teaches you to be yourself, and to be reasonable. It is full of eye opening quotes from Dale Carnegie. His daughters name is Donna Dale Carnegie. She is an author of self help books and she serves as the Chairman of the Board of Dale Carnegie & Assosiates, Inc. I think there is a book similar to the one I am reading that is intended for adults.
