What do you do with your DISCUSSIONS with NO RESPONSES?

I have made some discussions that didn't took off. Unluckily, nobody noticed it and got no response at all. I don't feel bad about it. I guess my concern isn't everybody's concern or I might have posted at the wrong time when people in mylot are not interested in that topic. Is there ever a time that nobody responded to your discussion? What do you you with those topics? Do you recycle the topic? Do you strike the topic at a different angle? Do you post it again? or you just let it there... hoping somebody may throw some mercy and respond? Everybody is welcome to share their thoughts

Oh, that's really nice. Sometimes it's quite frustrating when you see nobody responded to you discussion especially if it really interests you. It's a good thing there are people like you who take time to go to discussions with no response. I admire you for that!

I have 1 dicussions that nobody responded, I just think that maybe my discussion is not interesting, so others didn't concern it. I don't want to recycle the topic, but describe the topic in a different angle is a good method and we can change a more attractive subject.

Yes, sometimes when you write a topic it really concerns you and you want to get some answers. But things like these happens like when at the time of posting, the target responders were not online so the topic would just die down. I'm thinking of maybe if I posted it in the proper time, I will get some answers on it.

I have a couple of discussions with no responses from when I was a newbie. In the beginning, I did get upset that they didn't get any responses. But now it doesn't bother me, I just leave them and move on. I figure one of thess days someone will find them and respond. Best of luck!

Just leave it and move on. No everybody has interest in the same things as you do. Just leave it until when somebody with similar interest comes along, then you'll get your first response. Better a useful response then a response that is better without if you have no idea what the person is writing about.

I just leave it there. I don't recycle. Anyway, there are a whole lot of ways people search for topics to respond to, one way or another. With the increasing number of participants, they will soon find it even it's been there for so long. Besides, there is a category under discussions for those that have no responses at all and they can find it from there and extremely curious fellas may take their time looking for topics in that section. If I did not perk up the interest of the mylot public at the time I posted it and in the adjacent time period after that, I will have one other co mylotter who will never leave it unresponded to in the next coming days, weeks, months, years and so on. One possibility is that he may just respond to it out of pity or he is having the same interest. After all, we are too many in this world and it's impossible for me not to have at least one who see things my way at that particular thing. Another possibility is I made him angry with the topic, so he responded. For instance, some people get angry with some topics related to religion.

I think it is very sad to see no responses on the discussions. I also become very sad or frustrated when there are no responses or one or two responses only. I have seen some discussions getting more than 100 responses. Before I used to response to all the new discussions when I used to reply to the discussions more. I think I need to start it once again. I think guys including me gets happy when more and more responses are found in the discussions.

It can be a littl disheartening when you start a discussion and then get no responses. By having a lot of friends here I can usually hope to have one or two responses eventually but I don't really let it bother me too much

Yes I think so too. It's nice having friends here because they really help you and they really participate in discussions a friend started.

Well, I haven't had any discussions as of late that didn't get any responses. I have had one or two that didn't get as good a response as I had hoped. When that does happen, if the topic is very important to me I will rewrite and repost the topic. Otherwise I will just leave it be. One time, I got a response to two discussions that hadn't had a response in seven months. When I got those responses, I made that person best response. I was no longer concerned with the issues in those posts, but I wanted to reward the person that took the special time to respond to these old discussions.

I think I have some discussions with no response at all. I am thinking of opening it up again with another title or a change to a more catching title. I havent do that but maybe next time ill do that. So we both do that. Dont despair, maybe all of us experienced the same, some items with no response at all.

I have some discussions that have no response, that made me a little upset.but it doesn't matter, it mean that I didn't start a proper topic and I should select a better one.I don't think I will post it again.I will try some new ideas.

Yes, it can be alittle frustrating when nobody responded to the discussion you made. However, it gives you a better idea on how to do better discussions and what topics really captures attention.

Hi there heart, there are many reasons why a discussion doesn't take off. It could be that one has just been that is similar (that has happened to two friends of mine, I answered the first one but left the second one, although I still rated it) If I have time I will respond to both but at the moment I have more than 100 emails notifications to go through so I can't. Sometimes I look at the question and I don't have an obvious reply so I don't give one. My discussions don't have many replies. Not like some that have hundreds. Obviously mine are't that great for the majority of people that I know but heh, we have to live and learn. After about 4 weeks I will give a best response, even if it is only one, if it hasn't been answered at all I will leave it until I get one and then give them the best response! Someone somewhere has to answer all of them. I must admit that once in a while I do look at the new disussions, new user discussions just see if there is someway that I can help them out of this dilema. There is nothing worse than being a newbie and not getting a response. We have been here a short while but it is still disheartening. But don't give up honey, I'll try and check them out.. Take care and thanks for sharing this thought with us :)

You are a good friend, I cherish the good ones here. I am keeping my friends down as the postings are going through the roof and I don't feel like I have done anything at the end of the day. I don't like to let my friends down but with still well over 100 posts I am bashing away at responding to them all. Always a pleasure to answer your posts. :)

Its a good thing you got only one , I've got several. You are correct, when a discussion didn't take off, it teaches me some lessons. It gives me an insight of what I have done, or how I presented a discussion. It helps me to think and be more creative in the way I should present a discussion.

I have a few discussions myself that are the same why. I figure no one was interested in them or that they were posted at the wrong time when no one was really on mylot . Either that or no one was interested. It sort of botters me but at the same time I figure well maybe no one liked the subjuct I started or understands it.

Thats very annoying to not get any response from no one on this here site. There's no excuse for it .I have two discussions that have laid goose eggs so far.I try to answer discussion that appeal to me or catch my eyes when I'm scanning through the posts.Sometime when I see a discussion with no response I just reply to it because I know how the person may feel about not getting one.

Nothing, I just make another discussion or make a new discussion out of it but rephase the title, sometimes it's in the title... if the title is catchy, it creates responses (I am just guessing here)

I don;t make many discussions but I had one discussion where no one had responded. I figure it got lost among everything else on here. I just left it alone and lo and behold, I got a reply! I felt so good that it got a reply because it was something I was inquiring about really. If it just sat there I would leave it and not bring it up again unless I was very desperate to get an answer. But I do feel a bit down when my discussion gets lost in all the other discussions on here!

It's a good thing all the waiting paid off. I think so too that every discussion will capture at least a response at one point in time. We just have to be patient.
