I remember when I was at college when I got to my domotary and started to finish on my term papers which I had been worked on for two weeks, but my computer went kaput! That's a real problem! Then I went to my classmate who was a computerman, it turned out it was the hard drive that went kaput. That was terrible, although I get my computer fixed soon, but all my messages on the hard drive were gone. With no doubt,I was back on square one,I had to start over my term papers, otherwise,I wouldn't have jack to show them in my term papers. Have you ever went through such problems ?God forbidden!

I have had that happen to me too. I did not lose work for papers but everything that I had saved on my computer was gone. I had to go and find everything again and save it. That took a long time and I had to request my passwords and such also.

Yes, I have had that happen! Even here, it is better to copy your message just in case it does not go through! I learned to save my work on a CD or floppy disk, so I have it later in case something goes wrong with the computer!

ok based on the discussion here i have an experience to share.i own a dell laptop which started acting funny a little later of downloading a lot of unnecessary programs on it.so i decided to do a pc restore option available with only dell.inspite of being computer literate and knowing what it will do being absent minded i went ahead and did it losing all my saved data on it which included my lot of pictures, school material, reports and god knows what not.so in my case it was not only the computer but me too went kaput!!
