Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried those smokeless ashtrays? and if so do they work? I need to cut down on the smoke generated by my smoking in the house, I don't always wanna get up and go outside especially when it's cold or I am tired.
So what do you think are they a good investment or not? let me know your opinions on them.

Easy (but rather expensive) way to cut down on the smoke hun, get a air filter thing for the house. I've seen some at walmart and canadian tire for about 50-75 $ depending on the size.
They work really well, and you could always leave windows in the house open slightly, about maybe an inch or two open, yes, even in winter, it allows fresh air to come into the house, and the smoke (and smell of the smoke) will leave through the open windows. That would cut down on the need for you to go outside to smoke.

good idea with the air filter I might look into getting one, I don't know about leaving the window open in the winter, it gets pretty cold even with them closed and the heat on fully dressed lol ... gotta love old buildings. Thank you for the response.

I don't know never knew anyone who had them,
some people say candles, especially vanilla scent,
and that thing from canadian tire that looks like a brain that we used to get a few years back for smoke I thought was good, I can't think of the name though.

I have tried the smokeless ashtrays and they did not work for me at all. I bought the inexpensive kind though. the better kinds may work. I have not been able to afford to try those yet though. I hate to go outside to smoke too.
