Two and half years ago, Elaine Sonnen found out her son, Richard, was planning a Columbine-style attack at his high school. It would have been payback for classmates who Richard says bullied him. I would think it is a terrible burden to know your child is planning something like that. However, in this case, the woman was brave enough to do something about her son's problems instead of refusing to address them. She saw the warning signs and, even better, did something about it.

Wow, just imagine if more parents were like that. It's good that she stepped up instead of having the "not my child" mentality.
I still want to know where all the adults are when bullying happens at school. I mean just listening to my daughter talk about school it sounds like there are never any teachers around.

That is great she caught that in time. It is good to see a parent who has genuine concern for their child.
