On Saturday, I love getting out of bed at around 9am, sitting in my living room with a hot green tea, vanilla soy latte, or cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and being quiet for a little bit. Saturdays are an excellent day for freedom and I think they should NEVER be turned into a work day or a stressful busy day of any sort. Call me Jewish, but I am all about resting on the Sabbath day and taking even just one day to take it easy and reflect on the past week and life in general. There's no way I can do that on ANY weekday or even Sunday because then I start thinking about Monday and that's no good. Then, after latte time, I move out of "be" mode and into "do" mode which isn't a bad thing. Hang out with buddies, blog a little, hang out with my wife, make an omlette with a lot of butter and cheese, and do stuff. Mmmmm, Saturdays are excellent.

I agree, Saturdays should be be as relaxing as possible. Unfortunately, I do have to get something done though or my Sunday would be much too chaotic.

I wish I could work dayshift again and also be able to have a couple of days off during the week or weekend also. My husband and I both work seven days per week and have done it for a year now. We are so tired and wore out but the bills have to be paid. I would love to get up on a Saturday and sit and anjoy a cup of coffee again and maybe fix a good breakfast and sit out on the deck and eat.

since I am not working now, everyday is the same for me, but when I was working for many years I had to work on Saturdays. My boyfriend is Jewish and I made sure I did not have to work late on a Friday so we could go to synagogue but I couldn't get the Saturday off as well. Since my boyfriend worked on Saturdays as well we were happy to have the Friday night off.

I guess your Dunkin Donuts cofee comment made me want to mention this. Have you seen the commercials on TV from Dunkin Donuts? On April 15th, tax day, you can go into Dunkin Donuts, buy any size coffee, and get a free donut. I know a lot of people buy DD coffee for home, but it may be worth venturing out just to get a free donut. Which I'd love, but my hips won't.

Saturdays are excellent if you don't have to work in retail. The only good thing is if I don't have to be in until 12 today, but then again I don't give off until 9 o'clock tonight. Grrrr........My time spent until then won't be making omelettes as I haven't had time to go to the grocery store, instead I'll spend it on mylot.
