I have the warrenty on my Hewlett PAckard PC. Last 2 months, the keyboard has been acting up and the disk drive has been making loud roaring noise when used. I have put it off week after week with the "I'll do that next week. I have the warrenty". Well to day I made my self call and take it up with Hewlett Packard for fix or replacement. Well, they tell me my warrenty expires in 25 days! Lord have mercy, I got in just in the nick of time! I had forgotten to remember the expiration date of the warrenty! So HP is sending me a new keyboard and a new disk drive - both new items being sent to me (so I dont' have to take it anywhere nad leave it for 30 days cause that is how long stores take for warrenty work since they aren't making any money on it) and then I call them and they walk me through installation. Check your warrenty expiration date and even jot it down on your calendar. 25 days from today I'd a been out half a PC!!

ALmost the same thing happened with my son's x-box. It stopped working just a bit before the warranty expired. We call them and they said they were sending us a box to send the unit back and that they will send us another one, but it was getting closer and closer and no box. WE just called again, because we can see them taking this long and them say that the warranty expired. WE now have a name and a number that we can refer to if they tell us that. As for the box? Not here yet:)

AH lucky you, my friend. We didn't even receive the box to send the old one yet. Hubby is going to call them tomorrow again.
