What would you do if you found out you had cancer?

So me and my boyfriend were watching this show on PBS last night called the truth about cancer. It actually made BOTH of us cry. I could imagine having to see him or any other loved on going through that. I don't know what I would do If I was told I had it. I think I would freak out before I did anything else. what would you do? or if you know someone how are they doing? and how did you handle it?

Medication for it is very much costly nowadays. I have a mother that has it and it costs us a lot. But it has made her life better as there are medications that are really effective. So far she has survived it for a year now and has stopped fro growing and spreading any further. It is really painful to know but somehow I am able to cope with it. I know someday she will not be able to stopped at what I am grateful for now is she is here with us and I am able to show how much we love her and support her to express her love to us also. This is something I am grateful to know that I am able to be ready seeing her go someday without any regrets I will lose her in an instant. The disease made me realized how important to get in touch with you life and love.

I did not know that richard nixon after the end of the second world war declared a war on cancer and wanted to have it prevented by 2015. that's not to far away and just in ten years we have come so far in understanding how some cancers work. what triggers them. I honestly think if we didn't eat all these foods with only the company's knows whats in them our bodies wernt meant to consume all the things we do now. and the things we breath. if we had better health care in this country and if our government actually made sure we didn't allow companies just to put whatever they want in these foods and things I think our people would be a lot more healthy. I mean its kinda weird to me how Americans have so many health problem that not many other countries have at all or very little of......I pray for all who have this disease they have to be the strongest people in the world.

I would aow them to try any medications they thought might work to. I would want any options I had. I am happy for you that what there doing fr your mom is working that is great. who knows maybe in the next 5 to 10 years we will have something even better!!

Well i think that i'd gather as much information as i can about the cancer that i have before i started freaking out. The key to survival is hope. If you think your goin to die you will. So after i find the information i'd do everything i can to get the best treatments and live my life the best that i can.

well knowing myself and how Ive reacted to other much smaller things I know I would freak out at first but then I would get my head on straight and prepare for the fight of my life. But you cant honestly say that you wouldn't freak out at least on the inside when the doc came in a said im sorry but you have cancer. just that word gives me the he-be jeebies.

If I found out that I have cancer, I will get down on my knees and beg God to heal me! If not be possible then I'll be happy to be with Him up there in heaven. I pray you know of someone with cancer, God is still the answer, but it's not magic. God will heal whom He will in His own wisdom!
