Mine are upside down. Thats the way it was when I was growing up and it just stuck that way. I guess so when you pull it out of the cupboard there isn't any foriegn object in it.

Someone else posted how they didn't like it when the rim touched the cupboard. I am the same way. I always grew up with the glasses being upside down, but I not turn them right side up. Although our cupboards are clean, I perfer to not have the rims touch anything.

Hi there. In our cupboard the glasses are upside down, I think this habit comes from thinking dust will get in there. Might be strange but very true. Have a great day...

I've always put my glasses upside down in the cupboard to keep the dust out of them, especially the ones I don't use for a while.

Upside down, so no dust or yucky stuff falls in them. :]

In my cupboards all my glasses and cups are always right side up so I can just take them down and use them at once. I know a lot of people like to put theirs upside down but I do not like the idea of their rims touching the shelf liner. when you live in an apartment lots of time people use bug resistant paper and I do not want the rims of my cups or glasses touching that stuff. The stuff in that paper cannot be good for people if it wards off bugs.

I've always put my right side up as that's the way it was growing up. I don't like putting the lip down on a hard surface. I don't have a problem when I see other people do it, and if someone has helped with the dishes in my home and put them upside down I don't freak out or anything, it's just the way I do it. Is your glass half full or half empty?

My mother has always put her glasses, coffee cups etc. upside down and when I was younger I always asked her why. One time it was because we had a problem with bugs and she didn't want them to get into our cups. Another one of her answers was so that dust and dirt can't get on the inside. I always thought it was strange since the top of the cup would be touching the cabinet so the mouth in my opinion got dirty. But, to this day, my glasses are upside down. Thanks mom.
