i like potatoes so much. and i can eat them in any way my wife cooks it. har har har. she makes stew with potatoes and i love that. she makes potato salad and i love that too. oh there is something that she do that i wont eat, its mashed potato. it looks kids food for me. i dont eat that. i think i can eat anything but not mashed potatoes

Really?! I looooooooove mashed potatoes dripping with steaming thick, buttery gravy.If you think mashed potatoes are kids' food, it might help if you tried them home-style. Roughly-mashed (not the pureed consistency you find in baby foods) with a fork, and with the potato skin on.
I find that a good way to ensure a chunky, flaky, non-pureed texture is to put a small amount of vinegar (yes, you read that right, vinegar) into the water along with the water when you boil your potatoes. Say, a teaspoon to a pound of potatoes. You may also want to eat your mashed potatoes while hot. They don't taste good if they're cold. If only you could eat mashed potatoes as finger food without making a mess, it'd be top on my list, instead of French Fries.

sorry it is still not for me. my wife cooks good and she tried to make chunky mashed potatoes but still its not for me. she even put some bacon chunks or what ever she thinks that would let me eat it. i will just taste it then thats it. sorry, your recipe sounds good i am going to share this with my wife. she loves mashed potato too and my child as well but i am not really a mashed potato eater.

I am a big potato fan (in fact my nickname was spud when I was little because of how much I loved potatoes!) - I love french fries, mashed potatoes, and hash browns! Yummy!

I love potatoes, regardless of baked, fried, steam or mashed.. It all tastes equally nice to me in each unique way of cooking ^_^ But if i have to choose the best taste, it will be baked potato will garlic.. LOL ^_^ The taste is just too heavenly for me.. hehe

I love my potatoes made into potato salad! But it is so hard to find potato salad that I like when it comes to buying in restaurants. I'm not saying it tastes bad, because it really doesn't. I just like my potato salad to be a certain "consistency" which is smooth with chunks in between, not totally chunky or like mashed potatoes! If I want mashed potatoes, I'll order it
. I usually make my own at home, but this is my preferred way of eating potatoes. That and i like it in beef stew!

My hubby makes these great red skinned garlic mashed potatos I just love them so much. We always have them at big holiday get togethers.

I don't know how to make french fries at home. I am afraid the result won't be as well as McDonald's french fries. So I like to make mashed potatoes at home. As my son loves eating it so much. And this is the only one vegetable that he will eat. So I like to make it for him.

Hello pebbles. We have many different ways of cooking potatoes. I love the boiled potatoes fried with some spicy little red pepper and green onion and ginger, which is very tasty. Also I love it sliced and cooked with some venegar and spicy pepper or green pepper. I also love smashed potatoes. I think that potatoes are very nice food with rich starch...

Potatoes are my favorite vegetable I like them just about any way...except raw. xD
I love them baked, mashed, fried, hash-browned, tatter-totted, scalopped and Au Gratined.
