antibiotics

Ok - Im on my 2nd set of antibiotics, being Augmentin Duo 500/125. The first was clonamox 500 mg. That didnt work. I am feeling a little better, but have my doubts whether this will clear the whole thing or not - its been 3 weeks. I still can't exert my self much, without losing my breath and choking. how long till I can expect to feel that I have been cleared?

How long have you been taking the second lot? If its a bad infection it can take a while to clear. I had tonsilitus once spanning over 6 weeks and three lots of antibiotics before it finally went eventually they gave me this massive does of antibiotics for over 10 days that shifted it. Its awful being ill though and them not working so hope this lot work but really if you finish the course and dont feel right go straight back, hope you feel better soon xx

I got a 7 day dose, so about 2 days left. I think the dose is too small though. On my research it said that 500/125 should be 3x daily instead of twice. thats the 750/125 dose thats 2x daily. I've had incidents of such heavy coughing that I would upchuck whatever I've eaten, it takes me about 10-15 minutes to be able to speak properly afterwards. I tried to clean my bathroom today, as nobody else will do it - and each time I picked up stuff, etc, coughing and choking, and kids are taking advantage of the lack of voice - BUT - I've gotten a bicycle horn !hee hee!
