I need some advice about some natural ways to help my tired and dry eyes. Anyone have any good tips they do themselves or they know of, it would be nice if you tried it to and know if it actually works. That would be really helpful but even if you just heard of something I would love to know.

Hi Bluemars, Your eyes need moisture. You have to increase the amount of fluids, mainly water. I think you are not drinking enough for your body. Straining too much at the computer also gets you dryness in the eyes. If you drink enough water then, the reason will be straining too much at the computer. If it is that try keeping cucumber slices on the eyes and resting for atleast ten minutes. It is said that if you strain your eyes for an hour you have to rest atleast 10 minutes, by palming your eyes or keeping the eyes closed. By Palming I mean putting your palms over your eyes, not your fingers and keeping the eyes closed. You can see the difference soon.

Straining gets you red eyes also. I have told you all these because I have had them too. I used to do embroidery and Crochet etc which hurt the eyes. I have to wear spectacles now. So look after your eyes properly and they will serve you better. OK It'll be good if you can take cod liver oil capsules after lunch or dinner. That'll also maintain your cl;ear eyesight. All the best dear

Thanks for the advice I have not heard of that one yet the cod liver oil capsules for your eye sight. I have heard of carrots being good for the eye but I don't know if that is a myth or not. I think that what you have suggested sounds pretty good anyway too and you are right that resting them will do a world of good too.

Well i guess a few pieces of Cucumber can help you keep your eyes clean and tidy. Slice the cucumber into pieces and keep that on your eyes for about an hour or so and you will feel the chillness. At the same time you have to blink proportianately so that you wont loose too much water and get your eyes dried. I am not a docotr or a beautician but still i do these to keep my eyes tidy.

Yeah I like to blink sometimes too to keep the moisture in there but I do forget most days unfortunately. I wish I could remember to do that. I think it would really help out a lot. I have been really feeling the sting when I stare to much and I think my eye sight may even well be not working like it used to or as it should. I thank you so much for your advice and I should try what ever I can really to help maintain them and keep them in good nick.

Hi bluemars. I think that you need to drink more water and rest your eyes of course. Meantime you can try a compress with frozen serum. It always help me because I use contact lens. Good luck

I actually have been trying to rest them more often now and I now that can be hard when you have to work with computers and stuff but yeah I am trying to make an effort. I really like the idea of putting something cold on my eyes too that I have to try out. Thanks for the tip I will be sure to try it out.
