Are you happy with your computer?

Everyday new software and hardware are introduced in the market. They seem amazing and it would be a great idea to have them in your computer. But do you think you're still contented and happy with what you have right now? Or would you like to have some upgrades?

Sorry to have kept you hanging with that question. I've learned my lesson that I just can't install programs or hardware on my computer especially these days when lots of vicious programs are virtually everywhere. Before installing anything I have to consider the ff: 1) the usefulness of the program or hardware to me 2) the compatibility of the program or hardware to my computer 3) what people say about the program (through forums) 4)if possible, I would look for certifications from or accreditations of the program with duly recognized technical bodies, and lastly, 5) I test-install the program with Deep Freeze on. I hope that helps.

yes everyday you can see new updates, upgrades. new model and it is really nice and i will really feel happy if only i can buy the latest. as of now i have a laptop and a desktop so i am happy with it. both are old models but the importance here is it is running perfectly. if only i dont have a son i would love to upgrade too, but i am more focus on things he needs.

Yes I am, my puter serves me well, you may consider her old for her time but we work wonders. We do music, video, test new programs, communicate with others of her kind even new ones. Upgrades? she had enough. if Pentium 8 arrives, I may give it some thoughts.

So far I am happy with my laptop. It is faster and I can run many softwares together and I don't have to worry about they will slow down the computer. I like to do many things at the same time. It's efficient. I love China

As long as it is serving you perfectly in accordance with your purpose you wont give it a thought of replacing it.

A question need to think upon. I am a bit satisfied upto certain extent with my computer. I do have latest technology and almost all applications are working fine. But my concern is the vista not able to support all softwares. Otherthan that everything is fine. cheers

It seems that vista discriminates some programs. You're not alone with that experience.

I guess I should be real happy with my computer because it is new afterall! I love the 20 inch screen a lot, but the speed could be better. Vista takes up too much RAM and leaves so little to the user

There are so many things that I want to do with my computer. Many programs to install and update. But the problem is we are not given the privilege anymore. Our IT put so many restrictions, thats why this time I am not happy anymore with my pc.

NOT AT ALL. my deskotp is an intel p4.but it is not at all upgrded. still running with windows 98. i bought it long back when intel introduced p4. the problem is that i have only dial up in home. so, i can not download any better software for my desktop. but my laptop is an upgraded one. i have xp professional (I know xp is not very new :)), and a lot of new softwares with it. but still, i am planning to buy a new laptop as soon as i am placed.

The world of computers are chainging everyday. Each a new hardware and software comes in the market. I am computer crazy and I love to test new softwares and harware. I always dream about computer upgradation. Ya I do feel contended especially when I see new software better than I purchased. But all in all I am very happy with my computer but I want my PC to be the most powerful PC in the world. One thing I hate about softwares is that whenver they release new version a change in system requirements is inevitable. It means you have to buy hardware as well. This thing is most commmon in today's PC games.

Advancement in technology is something unstoppable. It's not just with computer but with any product that use. There are always upgrades, next new versions of the same with additional features and so on. But what we should really be looking forward to is...what do you need ? Have the configuration that best suites you and only update yourself with latest upgrades available in the market. When you require them, you can procure them.

That's right. It's foolishness to put something in your computer but not useful for your purpose.

i would love some upgrades my comp is super duper slow lol the only reason i dont get some memory card for the comp is that this is a dell comp and the only way i can get any kind of accesory is by ordering them online. i did that once as low as $5 a month the think i orderd costed $80 0or something like that i figured im in a big butget but would like to treat my self with something new but i winded up paying more than $100 sucks right? so anyways i would love to get some new upgrades for this comp or even upgrade my self to a better comp....

Yep i am completely happy with my computer as i am having the latest hardware and softwares installed on my laptop so i think i need not to worry about all that and as far as the software are concerned they are upgraded daily by the software developers so that is not the issue either as the upgrades of most of the softwares are found on the internet, so they can be searched for the updates there only.Secondly the main thing is the operating system and i think xp can serve you the best in the terms of reliability and compatibility so for me there is no problem with my com[puter and hope the same with you. have a nice day!!

i'm very happy and i'm so thankful for this computer. believe it or not. mine is still using Pentium 3 processor and 64 MB RAM! , sometimes it makes me mad, cause i have to do my work and it makes me working so slow.. but anyway, i love my computer. i want to upgrade it, but i think it's not worth it..one thing for sure, technology runs very fast, and we will never catch it. we find latest news, gadgets about technology every hour..we wil not be able to hold all the new technology (especially about computers) in our house...
