Do you pay your bills online?

I usually still use snail mail to make my payments. But sometimes, if I forget, like today, I will pay online. I dont really like to do that. I am not sure how "safe" it is. Anyone else pay bills online? And if so, has your banking information always been safe?

Some of our bills are paid online. Are you as hesitant about buying stuff online, and wouldnt the chance of a mishap be just as great.

I usually don't pay bills online, I still mail them in, or pay them if person. But I do buy alot of things online, and the safest way to pay online I think is to use Paypal. They keep all your bank and credit card info. confidential, so the person you are buying something from never sees your information. So far, its worked for me...its pretty safe..

I have heard that you should make sure it is a secure website though, either the url will start with https or there will be a little padlock on that bar at the bottom of your screen. I heard that you shouldnt use personal info otherwise.

I pay all of my bills online and here is why: no one will steal my check to the electric company from my mailbox outside of my house. I don't have to go buy a stamp to slap it on an envelope. Why spend another .42 when you can do it for free online. God knows we already pay enough for whatever we are paying. My account has always been safe and, I have an electronic record so, if the payment doesn't get to whomever I am paying, it is the banks fault and I don't get penalized where, if I sent them a check in the mail, it got delayed for whatever reason or never made it at all because it got lost in the mail, I am out some late fee as I have no proof but my own word that I did send the check. I think doing your banking online is safer, faster and more secure than a check which can be stolen possibly with some personal info on it and a copy of your signature which can then be forged by some ill behaved person with the inability to do right by the law.

yes it is the only way to go. also if you have your monthly bills emailed to you then you save a $1 off your bill because they are not sending out a paper bill in the mail. it may sound like a small amoout, but if you are paying 5-6 bills a month that is 5-6 bucks you are saving

I have been making payments online for a very long time. You just have to be sure that the sites you are using are well known and trustworthy. I have never had any problems.

I cant pay any of my bills online. I drop off a check for my credit card, pay by telephone bill manually at their office. The milkman and the newspaper guy come home to collect the cash. My electricity bill is taken off my salary and my internet bill is paid manually too.

I have been paying my bills online for sometime and have never had any problems. I have online banking and one of my payments get sent from the bank and I have the others which I pay on the sites. I am very comfortable with paying that way.

My mom is the one that pays the bills with her money. But I am the one that goes and actually pays it or buy the money orders. She recently opened a bank account so hopefully when she starts working again she could pay it with her bank account. I recently opened a bank account too and I am going to try and help out with the bills when I can.

I use to pay online a couple years ago. But now I don't have a checking account, so I pay bills with cash. I like it this way, because I know for sure that it is getting paid.

I've been paying my bills online for years and have never had a problem. There are only one or two that don't have the online payment system and I'd have to use my bank system to pay those, so I don't bother. Everything else is done quickly and easily without a problem at all.

I only did it twice when our telephone bill is due on that day, I log online and use my card to pay our telephone bills. Based on my experience, it is safe but ofcourse we still need to be cautious of the scammers or frauds there. Cheers!

I love to pay bills online but I only do it for my major credit cards. The others like my utility bills are usualy paper bills. I've never had any problems with credit cards or financial information getting hacked.
