Is mylot lagging?

Hi All,
Do you find mylot lagging these past few days? I just couldn't get past one friend's discussion to the other without having a lapse of a time. And to make things worst, after typing in my answer to a friend's discussion, it will "stop" and "lag". And when I hit the refresh button, it freezes and comes back to the empty discussion box for me to type all over again. That's because I couldn't cut and paste since I've not reached the 500th post....
Do you experience this kind of lagging nowadays in mylot? I surf other sites and the lag are simply not there. I would like to apologize to friends because I'm trying very best to answer all of your new discussions. Give me some time, I'm trying to break through this slow process. I hope I reach my 500th post soon, so that I'll have the copy and paste function.

Sorry to hear about your recent predicament. But I think this is common in the world wide web. Internet is not yet perfect so we may experience occassional hang ups.
I am having some problems with internet in general. I can blame that to my insufficient knowlege on internet and computers or it's just that some sites do have their down moments.

Thanks Jemina for your kind words. I know that internet could tend to have its mishaps. It is not human after all, ha! But then again, the server is unexpectedly slow lately here in mylot and you must be right, it could be due to occasional hang ups. I'll be patient for now. Thanks sweetie and take care.

You're welcome. This internet can be a blessing or a curse sometimes. But since it's not human that can do exactly what we want..well people fail us too sometimes. But with internet we need more patience. I've seen so many people smashing their keyboards and mouse when their computers/internet don't respond right away and it just makes me smile and shake my head.

Yes it is .. and like you since I haven't reached 500 posts, cant paste..... Its damn irritating, although tis happens only sometimes of the day and not always. There must be a lot of traffic on the sever which causes it to lag I guess. Hope they fix it soon cos sometimes its very inconvenient to work with a lagging site.

Thanks so much, bro for your input on this. I think you are absolutely right; the traffic is indeed a "killer" here in mylot and there are just loads of people accessing it at one time.
I do hope too, that they will fix the lagging problems soon enough because I'm not getting enough discussions to answer; not fast enough, LOL. Thanks and take care yeah.

Zed, I have learned the hard way to never hit refresh. I have typed up three paragraphs responses only to get impatient hit refresh and lose the whole thing. Just let it go. Yes the servers seem to have been a little slow the last couple of days, they may be making changes, I don't really know. As a general rule I do not have trouble navigating mylot, just every once in awhile.

. It's good that you have a lesser lagging time for your server. I am also impatient in waiting for the refresh button because it will pop up a blank box again, ready for me to type all over again.

Yes I also observed that one lately. I need to refresh a page in order to get through and complete my post. I thought its just normal, it takes me sometime before I finish one post or reply.
I am also looking forward for my 500th post so I could enjoy the copy paste privilege.

Yes it is lagging for sure. It's probably because of high number of members and their system is overworked. I agree this is when the copy & paste function comes in handy. I am always copying what write so when it acts up and I wind up on an empty discussion box I can just paste it in. Hang in there you don't have that far to go.

Hi yeah me too have the same probs, it doesnt lag so much, but it isnt as fast as it cud b on other sites also. This really makes the post process very late. Im soon reaching on my 500th post...

For the past half an hour or so i have been trying hard to open Mylot . This is not the first time for me , it had happened many a times in the past. Hope it is all because of the traffic this site gets and due to the over load the servers might just lag for a few mins and so on. As the load on the server increases its obvious that the site gets slow.

I've had some lag the past couple days. Since I have Windows Vista I have a tendency to blame the computer half the time and myLot the other half. Another thing that happens to me on myLot, and myLot only, is that windows for one discussion will start opening over and over again until I have about 15 windows for the same discussion - myLot must not agree with my computer.
When you can cut and paste you can copy the discussion just in case it doesn't load. A few of us were doing that when the site was acting up awhile back.

I cannot say that I have noticed the thing that you are on about. My computer is not the fastest but it is no slower than normal. I do have this problem with other sites that I go on though, but not here. You will soon make your 500th post!!

Hi Zed. I thought I was the only one having problem or my server but I'm glad to see its not me who have observed this. It gets me frustrated at times as I have not reached the 500th post either (but almost there!) But I just try to get back on the discussion again as I go back and forth to my work and myLot. That's great, hon. At least we are all in this hot soup of stars and lagging, LOL. It's great to have friends here in mylot and sharing everything in general about problems and insights on life and stuff like that. Congratulations, for I see you reaching your 500th post already, woooohoo. Now you can copy and paste already, I see.

Yep for sure there is a lag in the mylot for the last two days specially in the evening and i found a great difficulty last night even and it just annoyed me. First i thought it of due to the laptop only but there is not such thing for some other posting sites but now i think there is some technical problem going with the site as some mantainance and update work might be going on the site.It can lead to the lag and i found problem in uploading the pictures as well and hope the things to be right again as usual.

Yes it appears that mylot is lagging, I am pretty upset with its slowness. I don't like starring at a screen. I never seem to get caught up with mylot.

Yes, I agree totally. Can you believe it, I'm here for almost 2 hours and nothing much is done. I've just been responding to comments for the whole time and answering some of our friends' discussions. I'm trying to go faster but the server won't allow.

I think it must have been one of the famous Mylot glitches my friend, because it was taking an age to post any of my responses yesterday. I gave up on twenty and went to play some Pogo games.
It happens from time to time... also, there seemed a distinct lack of discussions that took up more than one line, and were worth responding to. I guess, that was probably down to the same problem being had by others!

i zed_k4! Oh I do have some problems like that yesterday and it got resolved on its own. Sometimes there is a glitch here but it does get resolved in no time. Ican cut and paste but its been lagging all evening and I went to add a smiley and my whole response disappeared and left me with a blank box with two smileys uggh so I added a comment and then the comment looked like a response but I got credit for it go figure this has happened on and on all evening and I thought it was just me.lol I also did the refresh button thing and got an empty box for me to type the whole thing is over again grrr

I haven't experienced that particular problem, but it does seem that no matter how many posts I've posted the last 2 days my number stays the same. Maybe there's a glitch somewhere that's causing problems in more than one area.

Hello there. I suspect it's due to the "virus" in China, as one user had told me. I hope that your number will add up and if the problem still persists, you might want to email mylot about it.
