How about placing water in the bottle and leaving it on the side so its room temp then simply add the milk powder and THEN warm up it wont take so long or many babies will actually drink it at room temp , that is actually the best and safest way to make up a babys bottle. Failing that the odd bottle at night wont hurt as long as you shake it properly as microwaves cause hot spots which continue cooking even out of the microwave.

I never knew either until my health visitor told me I think its common knowledge to make formula up and then put it in the fridge but theres been new research that says that the way I said above is the safest and easiest too

Stop using the microwave for plastic bottles. It produces a poisonous gas that goes in the food.It can cause retardation.and many other problems.heat it in water,I know it`s a pain.but much safer.
