Pill? cleaner? Soap? Is there certain foods you need to avoid? So many things available but do they work?

I still break out in my tzone and i'm 29! Nothing seemed to keep my skin clear. I did start using proactiv though about 6 months ago and it really does the job. I also started trying to use mineral makeup instead of liquid foundations.

i have a problem with zits and pimples. the doctor told me, I should be using benzeclin. he gave a me prescription for it to use when needed. it works like a charm. there is soap u can use like dove. i used to use that. there are soaps, gel cleaners that you can find in the tube. u have to pick the product that goes with your skin type, so its doesn't dry out your skin. i dont trust the taking the pill. i tried it. it made me sick. i had stomachaches and headaches. its better to stick with anything that is topical stuff.

A well-balanced diet, and avoiding fatty or sugary snack food will help a lot. And drinking lots of water. Have her wash her face morning and night, and keep a clean pillow case on her pillow. I have had good luck with benzoyl peroxide, but use it sparingly because it will also dry the skin around the pimple.

Dang food. If I could just quit eating and drink water all would be fine-LOL teasing. Its hard to get a good meal around our house as I work nights and hubby works 14 hour days. Yes we probably could change our eating still hard to do. peroxide does dry out the skin. Thank you.

I'm not sure what works best my but daughter likes to use Noxzema and Clearsil. It seems to work well for her but it may not work for everyone as good as it does for her. I would just experiment with some and see what works best for you.

I think with spots and things, it is just a case of trial and error, sometimes something might work for one person but not for another. If I get any problems with spots I usually try one thing and if it does not work then I will try something else the next time.

I agree with you. It gets costly though trying to find the right one.
