Mothers in law, how to gain her favour

I never want to get my MIL favor, she's an old bag that's miseable and crazy and needs a man to keep her out of my business. There I have vented whew that feels great

There is no way to MAKE anyone like you, they either will or they won't. Just be yourself, and if she doesn't accept that, oh well. She isn't the one married to you. Your spouse's opinion is all that matters. You and your mother in law will only have to tolerate each other. If she makes that impossible by the way she treats you, you could have your spouse have a calm discussion with her about her treatment towards you, and ask her to be polite for the sake of your marriage and any current or future children.
