Will you be taking any road trips this summer now that the Gas keeps skyrocketing? I feel those days are long gone.

I am afraid they are gone.. We will keep griping about the high prices, the big oil companies will keep getting richer, some will keep on buying this liquid gold and others will just have to make do or do without.. But when the prices go down just a bit, everyone will breath a sigh of relief and not even realize that the prices are still higher than when this started and will not go down to at least the price it was before all of this outrageous price gouging started.. We can't win, but there will be no vacation for me or my family this year.. I can't afford to make these rich people richer..

Hi Rose, I'm still hoping to be able to go to the beach this summer. It is about a 6-hour drive. The cost of gas is horrible and I am trying to save more money for gas. There are some other places I want to go this summer. I don't know if I will be able to or not at this rate. I definately will go to "The Living Word" outdoor drama in Cambridge, OH to sing. It is about a 4-hour drive. I won't say "no" to that! I pray the prices will go down really soon!

No, I don't take them anyway because we do not have a car but I certainly would not take any now even if we did have one. It is just way too expensive.

Ya know, I keep hearing that but I still have people coming in, usually at the last minute, to get their cars ready to go on vacation trips. There are so many people whom don't like to fly. You can't just stay home year round and keep from going stir crazy. The prices increase around holidays, or when some special event is going on in town. It was up last week here but we had a Nascar race in town. They knew the area would be packed with out of towners whom had to have gas. We don't go out of state because we have only had the shop now for two years. We don't have the capital to close down. Also, we have lots of furbabies and no one to look after them. We generally go camping a few times during the summer. It will keep some people closer to home. But not everyone.

I will still be going to bc with some friends & family for our houseboating trip, However...theres 10 of us splitting the cost of gas and a rental of a large van. Much cheaper than paying for individual cars or flights that way. I also still intend to go to saskatoon three times (its 4 hours away give or take half an hour) Once to pick someone up at the airport once to drop them off and once for oral surgery. If my sister's cancer requires more treatment and she has to be in saskatoon more...I'll be going on weekends to be with my parents and her. I still intend to travel I just intend to do it wisely..and not speed or be a maniac driver (i'm not one anyways) It would be nice to find out if there is a way to make one's own "bio gas" that can be used in a car...I know theres bio deisel that can be made for trucks and tractors.
