The number of argentia or brazil players are very less in english premier league. As all know, the players coming from those countries are of high potential and almost all players usually play in italy or spain. Why are they not owned by english clubs.

I agree the language barrier has much to do with Latin Americans playing in Spain and Portugal. There are also a large number of players from such countries playing in Italy, Russia, Holland and France where their native language is not as widely spoken. The main reasons for Latin American players staying clear of the Premiership is the style of football being played. England is years behind in terms of technical ability, so players moving from South America take much longer to adjust to the English game. The English game is faster and more physical too which is not appealing either. Latin American footballers prefer to go to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Holland, France and Russia as they have more time and space on the ball and this allows their natural flair and ability to shine.

The style of play is very much different for latin american players. EPL is very fast. But latin american players play short pass game which may not suceed in english football. But they are all very talented players and if they are given a chance they can raise to the style of EPL.

The main reason as to why most latin players go to spain or Portugal is due to language barrier and also lifestyles, its easier for a latin player to adopt in spain than in England because of things like food, and the people. Remember Baptista said that he doesnt like English foods hence he had a difficult time at arsenal.

Latin American players traditionally go to Spain or Portugal first because of the language issue - and then they start to move to other countries There are more latin American players coming into the Premier League - take Liverpool they now have Aurelio (Brazil) who came from valencia, Mascherano (Argentina), Leiva (Brazil), Leto (Argentina)and Insua (Argentina)

Now more and more latin american players are coming to premier league. But sadly that figures are very less compared to spanish or italian league. The language issue is one of the main reason for the latin american players to avoid premierleague. But they have got the same problem in spain and italy too. Thats where i am in confusion.
