Opened the pill cases this morning to give my dog his meds--I keep mine alongside his so I don't forget--and good grief!! Fish oil, black cohosh, St.John's wort, cinnamon, cayenne, brewer's yeast, flax oil, a multivitamin and ginger! I'm ready to say the heck with controlling my cholesterol and muscle spasms naturally and trying to be healthy. It takes me all morning to swallow the stupid things and by then I have to work on the evening doses. Do you think you take too many non-prescription pills? I take the flaxseed oil and brewer's yeast to lower cholesterol, it's cheaper than prescription which was about $70 a month last time I checked!

I didn't know that! Thanks, you probably saved me a lot of health woes. I'll do some more research on it.

you make your gynecologist your partner in health.I advise hormonal replacement which could save you from cardiovascular diseases

Exactly. So why am I doing this?! I think I'll dump everything except the Cohosh which seems to be helping my menopause symptoms. It's ridiculous--and makes me feel OLD--to take so many pills.

Well I feel your pain, I take several supplements as well. Not as many as you though. There are days I just choose not to take them because I am tired of taking them. I usually regret that choice, exspecaily if I do it for several days in a row. I get sick, or depressed and then I go right back to taking them. They seem to help in those areas, so I keep taking them and wishing I didn't have too. lol It works for me since I do not have health insurance, it is one of the ways I hope to keep illness at bay. For the most part I stay pretty healthy, however this spring as been a ruff one , I seem to be catching everything regardless of taking my supplements.

I had not need to take any vitamin supplements, yet. But Dad does. He takes like so many pills each days it make me even tired to watch him swallow all the vitamins plus the medicines he need to drink. How come people at times before my Dad didnot need to take so many pills and still stay healthy? Like my GrandMa. She maybe take a few pills, but she is 93 now and storng as an ox. I do hope I don't need to take so many pills when i am at Dad age.
