Cannot there be options to choose more than one best response?

Not bad idea to make more people happy but its really fun to choose one best amongst all the responses u have from different my lotters. You really know that many people will post very good responses but best will be one which will fit the situation right, and only the person in that position can judge it after checking the pro and cons of it So only one can be best, like only one can be winner to get the Gold Medal Take care

Thats not a bad idea i have wanted to select more than one on many occasions.

its also my suggestion. at times it sreally to hard when i think there are more than one response that qualify as best response. we are into dilema as to which one to be awarded best response. may be mylot comes up with it.

Well, i am also thinking that way too. Especially if i found another best responsed of my post. You have a good point too.. But, in choosing only one best responsed is more interesting and more challenging...And as you who chose it be sure its the best of all the answers. And you satisfied with it also.

well, thats also nice idea to work with too dear friend but i am not sure that it will affect to our earning in here however, sometimes i also feel unfair when i already giving best response mark but after that there is another good response submitting in my discussion. just wait and see if the idea able to be true in here

I really like this suggestion that you have made. When there are many high quality responses it is challenging to decide which one to give best response to. Often three responses that I receive are the best. Sometimes when I reply to a long running discussion a best response has already been given so people adding to the discussion might write something that also deserves best response.

... typical ... and everyone in the race is a winner ... Best means "best"! Only one can be best. Though maybe there should be a way to change to a better answer if one should come along later.

I find it very difficult to mark best response at any time but when there are many responses it is I agree very difficult to decide. I don't know whether being allowed two would help as there will always be a third that is just as deserving. I usually reread and then go with my initial gut feeling as to which to choose, for me personally having to choose two would only add to the dilemma but it may work well for others. I have had that same problem where I can't resolve some of my discussions because there is more than one best response. How do I chose when they are equally good? It would be nice to have the ability to give more than one best response. But, I don't think it should start at 25 as, most of my discussions don't even have more than 10 responses and there are still more than one BR's in there. So, think that we should be allowed to mark 2 or 3 BR's in any given discussion.

Hello deepak, I think if you get more good resposes then also you can mark them +.That is what you can do now.Your idea is good that if the responses are more than 25 then we have to mark one more best response.Thanks

i love your suggestion. it also happened on some of my discussions that there were more than 2 best responses that i wanted to mark. but since we're allowed to have only 1 best response to be marked per discussion then i have to choose only one. but it would be really great if your suggestion would be heard and granted by the admins

Thats a good idea,I think. So,two best responses for discussions which has atleast more than 25 responses. Yea,there are some times when it is very difficult to select only one best response. Sometimes I feel some members choose a best response long before the discussion has even had adequate time to develop. I guess some people are just in a hurry to say when a discussion has had its run, or they feel they'll forget about it by the time the week is over, but often times I'll see a best response chosen within mere hours of the discussion's posting. That seems a little rushed to me. I would give it a couple of days to see how it evolves at least, but that is just me. And yes, often times you get several perspectives which are equally comprehensive, insightful, and justified, and it seems impossible to choose only one "favorite" or "best" response. This is especially the case when you have a thread with an extremely high number of replies. I really don't pay much attention to best responses personally, and I have been told they don't play any role in increasing your earnings, but I don't see any reason why a compromise can't be made. However, I do believe there should be a limit on best responses - one should not be allowed to choose all or the majority as best as that would defeat the purpose.

I agree that sometimes we are faced with a difficult choice because we get many quality responses for the same discussion. But being able to mark more than one best response might not be the best solution either because then it wouldn't be a best response would it ? LOL I think one of the members here Lordlionwizard got a way around that by giving special honor badges when faced with the same situation. In some discussions - and he usually always has many responses - when he posts a comment to a response that he finds is of very good quality he attaches an image to his comment. It looks like a medal if I"m not mistaken. That way he is marking all the good responses although he can only choose one best response. Of course that will not give the person any monetary compensation by mylot, but we don't even know if getting a best response gives us more money or not LOL But at least the people posting will know that the person who initiated the discussion thought their response was of high quality.

I suggested something like this, but my discussion got deleted. My suggestion was to have a user choice best response, similar to yahoo answers and other places. The members can vote who they think the best response is, and the largest number of votes gets the "member's choice best response". And with this, there should be a running count of how many BRs a member has. Its hard telling due to the buggy paging system of mylot. Plus as a bonus, the running count in conjunction with the star rating, that would show some interesting situations...

I think this is a great idea dpk! A really great idea. It would boost the morale of so many people too. When I find that I want to share br, I tell the people I want to give it to. I've never had anyone yet turn down the sharing! LOL

Yeah I think that that is a pretty good idea, there should be a way that we can have more best responses, maybe by even having a top 3 best responses in order of best!! 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I sometimes get really torn between who to give it too, it is really hard and many times I have read through them all a few times and tried to narrow it down, and then I have to re read my favourites again and try then to pick the best that way.

It is sometimes difficult to choose a best response.... Sometimes I would like to give the best response to a new person to encourage him or her to post more. Sometimes I give it to someone who just has a great answer. Sometimes I give it to someone who posts the only answer. And sometimes I just give it to a friend or someone else when that friend or someone else has responded more than once to a post of mine and has done their best to respond well even if their grammer was not the best. I would love to be able to give more people best responses.
