What;s your wish for Mothers Day?

In the UK Mother's Day is always the second Sunday before Easter Sunday so since moving to America I have to be really organised as I have to buy my mother in the UK a card now and then not lose it before next years Mother's Day. We also send her a card for America's mothers day as she now has an American son-in-law so it seems kind of appropriate to celebrate both. As I have no children of my own it is just another day for me but as a child I know the best present I could give my mother would be a visit from me as she hasn't seen me in nearly four years. Not sure when it will happen but hopefully soon. What would be your best gift either as child or mother?

It's mother's day this coming week-end here in Italy too. I have difficulty on thinking of what to give or do for my mother on that day so I'm sorry but I have no suggestions for you. I must compliment you on sending two cards to your mother now that she has an America son-in-law - that is a lovely idea and I wonder howe many think of doing that. As a mother I do not wish or hope for a special gift from my son - I just hope he remembers it
