Have you ever been to a posh restaurant and utilized Vallet (sp?) parking? Was this a special event, or was it normal to your life and circumstances at the time. If you have never been in this situation, would you be comfortable passing your keys and vehicles off to the attendant to park your car or would you just as soon park it yourself and walk to the entrance?

I have used valet parking in several instances....and didn't even think to worry. Sometimes it's just more convient to use it especially if it's a long walk.

You know I have never been in that situation and I have often wondered about just handing over your vehicle to another person you have never met before. If you have an expensive car you would worry about it being stolen and if you had a n old rustbucket like mine you would probably hope they damaged it to get a payout! xxx

we are used to valet parking here in our country, even a small bar has their own valet park attendant, it is like an extra service these joints have. the resto or bar owners knows ech and every employee they have and each watches each others backs so if they see a stranger around they shoo them away. they provide us tickets to retrieve the vehilcle and they have ID's. but of course we should not leave any valuables inside the car. if i find my own parking space then i would, we only use the valet if we can seem to find a parking space or if we are in a hurry for an appointment.yes, i feel comfortable with it.

Many years ago my husband and I used it, as it was a special wedding anniversary. He took me to a costly restaurant and told me not to look at one price or he would be ordering for me. I don't know how much he paid, but the service was the best we have ever had and nothing has compared. We had 3 waiters, who just filled my glass every time it was half full and a man sang to us. It brings back such wonderful memories.

Modestah, when we lived in AZ close to Tuscon, there was one restaurant, that we like to go to in the city for special occasions, birthdays anniversaries. It would be my night to dress up like Cinderella, and have my Prince pay me all the attention that he could. Valet parking was part of this night. I always felt like Cindy too :)) yeah its a treat to hand off your keys, and watch your Prince tip the valet. Lordy that has been years ago now... i think infact the last time I even dressed dressed for dinner was a new years eve party 10 years ago. its not so important to me anymore. LMAO this Nana like to be comfortable, not all tressed up in flair!

I used to use valet all the time when I lived in Mississippi. It took me a minute to get used to it but I got over it. In Biloxi, at the casinos they all have valet parking. I am not much of a gambler but we would go there and eat or see shows. Also, one of them (Imperial Palace) has a movie theater in it. I don't think a whole lot about it when I valet in MS anymore.

I have been to places that had valet parking, but I never used it. I wouldn't feel comfortable letting someone I didn't know drive and park my car, and handle my keys.
