I sometimes just have to laugh at myself. I mean, sometimes I catch myself being rather - dare I say "stupid"?
I went to "discussions my friends started" a few minutes ago and saw a discussion that I thought sounded interesting. So I clicked on it, clicked to respond, was thinking about my response and noticed that the discussion had already been rated.
Hmmmm. I hadn't just rated it. Hmmmm. Maybe I've already responded to it.
I looked at the date it was started and it was three months ago. I went back through all the responses and, sure enough, I'd already responded.
But the interesting thing about all this is that my response would have been different today than three months ago! My point of view had changed, and therefore my response.
Anyone else ever done that? Did you feel stupid as I did? And had your point of view changed and therefore your response?

I remember you responded twice to one of my discussions with some months difference but your point of view was almost same as it was before. It was discussions about giving way/priority to others, if I remember correctly. But, it is possible, as you say, that one's perspective changes with time.
I don't think there is any major shift in my perspective about anything since the time I joined this site. But, I know for a fact that there are changes in detail as I learn and mature. Conversations on Mylot, especially with friends, have been a great learning experience for me. So, it is possible that if ever I respond to a discussion twice with some months difference, there will be some change.
Then there are slight changes I am very well aware of, like managing my friends list, my style of responding, and my writing skills but these are not about principle changes or changes in values or opinions as such!:-)

I think if my opinion had changed I might have been tempted to add a comment below my response giving my thoughts up to date. Considering the amount of posts you have, I imagine this could happen more than once where you come across an interesting discussion. I may have done it myself, although everyone has been kind enough not to mention it to me if so.
