My question is for all the Americans here that are presently having problems with the illegals entering the country. I do not know if or how many citizens of the U.S. are aware, that Canadians and I figure Mexicans cannot become Americans nor actually get a green card with some very stricked regulations, this I would not mind if the politicions would quit letting the wrong people in,the terrorist countries can send as many as they want, both to Canada and the U.S. due to the government of Canada since the Traitor truedau was priminister,as he was a communist and hated the english,he would not allow them to immigrate and only those of aisian and arab countries were allowed, and now we are over run with them. I would much rather, and I do,have many friends from Mexico, and as Canada has become a lousy place to live,I am still, even with the finantial problems there, move to the U.S. Personaly,I would wecome a strong North Amaerica, under one banner. Thank you for the discussion,I am sorry if this bothers some.these are my feelings only.

One of the good things about MyLot is that you can express yourself hopefully without being attacked for it.Canada has made mistakes in the international world(yes,I am Canadian) and our immigration laws need to be updated. The same can be said for all countries as people move from have-not countries to coutries that can offer more.Thank you for sharing with us.

thank you for your answer, unfortunatly,it is already to late, there are to many here, both legal and illegal to do anything about. did you hear that they are now going to fast track the system as Canada " needs more workers "? I do not know about where you live, but here, everyone is screaming for workers, but no one will work for $14.00 an hour,we have people all over the city saying they can't find a job, bull, there are plenty of jobs for everyone, but no,we have to send out of the country for workers. sorry, getting mad, talk again later.

I live in a section of Canada where there are plenty of minimum-wage jobs available as we turn from the wood industry to the tourist one.Fast-food joints and retail stores are now the main employers here.(We just had the 2 largest and longest-serving pulp mills close down in the last 2 months)So is the education system in BC so poor that we are not teaching our students the neccessary skills and knowledge to fill the better paying jobs?

unfortunatly lonewolfnan, the main problem,at least here in Alberta,is the people refusing to work are the ones with higher educations, they believe they must make over $25.00 an hour,or it is beneath them. We have a great many people walking the streets picking up pop cans or panhandling or washing car windows from the street, yet they can not even turn around without seeing a wanted sign, but you ask them why they do not apply, they just tell you they would not take a full time job for such low wages, this is when they are offered $14.00 an hour with no experiance nor tools. I do understand what you mean about B.C. though,I have two sisters and my niece live there, and they tell me of the kind of problems you mention. thank you for your answer.

Illegals have been entering this country for sometime, and the notion of wanting to change it now seems alittle too late. I personally believe that if they were such the problem that our Governments claim, then they would not be here. Our Government has all the power, means and abiliity to not only exile them, but prevent them from coming to this country. Instead, they allow them to work, live and stay here, taking all their (illegal)tax money and keeping it. Something should have been done along time ago and now its too late but to allow them citizenship to this country, and that may never happen since our Government does not allow duel citizenship.

You are so correct, although "commended"is not the word I would use. The politics we are now stuck with,we can change the people in the government, but untill we can stop the lawyers and silver spoon bunch, there will be no change, they are only after the money, they care not one bit about the countries anymore, the more outsiders they bring in,the more votes they get.as they know most are radicals and outright terrorists, they say,no you can't come, but as soon as they land, they are out of site, the government says they know where they are,but do nothing towards getting rid of them. Sorry,I ramble.
