Our youngest child is graduating from high school in a couple weeks. It doesn't seem possible that he has grown up so fast. He has 3 older brothers and 1 sister who have already graduated. Their's didn't seem so sad, as seeing my baby graduate. He brought home his cap & gown today. We are going to have a graduation party at our house after the ceremony. It should be fun. Though I know I will cry at the graduation. Tears of happiness and being proud, but also of realizing my baby is out of high school. Have any of you been through this? Did you cry or do you cry at gradutions?

They do grow so fast. It seems like you wish they were grown and then you turn around and they are. I think my grandchildren are going to become even more spoiled then they already are.

Hi sherry, I remember when our youngest graduated from high school. We knew that life would never be the same, but he was so happy, it was really impossible for us to be sad. Each of our kids left home for University in the fall of their graduating year, and the house felt so empty. They usually returned on all long weekends and of course at Christmas. A new phase in your life will begin. Enjoy it. Blessings.

It is a new phase of life. I don't really know what to expect. In one way I'm looking forward to it, but then I think we will be lonely.

I did cry when my youngest son graduated. It was like the end of a era or something. I knew then that all my chicks were grown. I felt pride when they called his name, I cried then too, and at his party I also cried. I can remember thinking about his 1st day of kindergarten on that day as well. Enjoy and be proud of the good work your husband and you did. You did very well. Congrats to your son as well.

I'm not a parent. But I'm going to be graduating next year, and I can't believe it. I bring it up with my friends all the time. And I tell my best friend I'm going to cry like a baby at my graduation.

His class is really close. He has made some good friends. He is lucky that some of them are going to the same college he is.
