Do you ever just laugh when you should cry?

Today is one of those days. Here is the situation. I have a Ford Explorer that was a wonderful buy until the transmission went out and I found out it costs $1800.00 to get it fixed so we are using my SO's mom's old van which I hate but it gets me around well the breaks went out completely this last weekend and we couldn't drive it without new breaks. OK bite down and get them fixed which we took it in yesterday. My SO called me to tell me his truck just died. There is no fixing it.. I burst out laughing. I said you know if it weren't for bad luck we wouldn't have any luck at all. He couldn't help it he then started to laugh because I couldn't quit. He usually blows up and freaks out about every little thing so for me to get him to laugh is a big deal. My daughter starts a new job on Monday so it looks like I will be carpooling a lot for a long time now. As I told him it could be worse. So have you ever laughed when really most people would just sit down and cry?

I am hitting a slump like that in my life now too...I have just has yet ANOTHER career taken away from me by circumstances I cant control. I lost my banking career as a result of being a victim of a scam. I start a new job on the 19th, and I am only working part time right now. My wife is having shoulder trouble again, I hurt my back again yesterday, and I need to get brakes on my truck...I could go on but I think I have told you enough for you to get the picture. Oh well things will get better sooner or later I guess

oh do i i always laugh in the crappiest situations like a month ago where i was with my cousin we had the day plained out , and it started about 8am after he peft from the Auto Zone parts store for a check up on the car , as soon as he came over here the car cut off ..no biggie right ? wrong lol so we wait an hour the car starts we go to his house so he changes his clothes and were about to head off to the mall , we get to the end of the drive way at his house the car shuts off again hahaa ...this day wiht this car was an all day event , night fall comes and it was about a good 48 degress with a breez annd the car shut off and started again in the middle of the street , and across from a auto parts store which was closed too hahaha we bought a fresh brand new Wal Mart battery for the car , installed it and it still shut off...finally we gave up on the day and we headed home which was late cause of the car ..later on liek last month the car is fixed but we'll never forget that day ..

More time than I could count. Sounds like your luck is just as bad as mine. It doesn't make me feel better when I laugh instead of cry at these situations and normally my husband and kids go running in the opposite direction when this happens because they know I am about to lose it. But what can you do? Just bite down and try to make the most out of a bad situation. Hope things get better for you!
