Happy 30+ to me....Its My Birthday******

I dont feel a day older. Just tierd. Well I wont be getting up to any Anky Panky thats for sure.
I heard singing around my bed this mornin before I got up. When I opened my eyes it was my mom and a sister singing me happy birthday.
I also got quite a few happy birthday wishes since getting on the computer not so long ago.
To be honest sometimes my birthday comes and goes without much fuss. I would do well with a special treat now but I'll see what later holds.
Do you make a big thing out of birthdays?
Do you get upset if others forget to wish you happy birthday and buy you a gift?

No prob Moon. Most persons here were late because I gues I posted this late yesterday. I just meant to say that I am thankful for your kind wishes and being late has not taken away from it.

Myself I use to make a huge ordeal of my birthday when I was young but that stopped when I turned 13. After that age, it was just a normal date to me. I got out of the stage of birthday parties and gifts. Now I dread my birthdays because I'm just getting older, but a lot wiser haha

Ah ah ah. Thank you very much Nixxi. I am in bewilderment now that the thirties have kicked in as I know the years off the present decade will be taking me closer and closer to forty. 
If you had asked me back in the days I maybe would have told you I cant see myself getting that old. Well its happening. (lol)

Oh I know exactly what you mean. When I was young I always thought that my parents would live together and that I would stay invinsible forever. Now life sure has taught me that I was kidding myself.
I felt like life was so nice and slow and I didn't have to rush around about anything, but now that I have a child and I'm in my 30's as well, life is just passing me before my eyes and I can't believe how short it is

Life sure does have a way of knocking reality into us doesnt it. I remember as a teenager calling those I knew in their thirties old. My sisters and I were of the opinion that once you reach thirty then that was it. Hands down old age was taking you away.
Well here comes reality. I am now thirtyone and no child in sight yet. I dare one them younger ones to call me old now.

Well I am a little late responding to your birthday, but better late than never. Hope you have had a fantastic day and that you have many, many more. I try not to make a big deal out of my birthday, and it does hurt when people forget. That is why I do what you are doing, announce it. I tell people ahead of time and sometimes even have my own party. And like someone else said here, every day is special and we should live every day like it is our birthday. Hope you had a good one.

Thank you very much DonnaLawson. I was sotaken to the tune I noticed nothing amiss . Now theres one thing I want to be able to copy. Getting older and never feeling it. I know what it feels like now but those 40s down to come....I dont know how they'll treat me or I'll treat them Hope we dont have an antogonistic relationship though. Id definately like to hit my 60s feeling like 20 too. (lol)

My birthday is next Monday, and I have no plans at all. My son's birthday is the day after mine so that gets more attention than mine. I don't mind though, I like it that way.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you get alot of nice gifts and a cake. It's a special day just for you and you get all the attention. I don't celebrate my birthday anymore. I do get a coouple of "Happy Birthday" from my son who lives w/ his father and stepmother and my dad. Mines in November. I hope you have a wonderful day. Happy Birthday again.

Yes, we do make it a very memorable day. Though here in the Phils, it's customary for the one who's celebrating the birthday to throw out a birthday party. It's like an unspoken rule that they should treat their friends to a blowout. I think it's the other way around in other countries. It's the friends who arrange the birthday party and surprise the person with it.

Well Thank you dear Howard. I like that cake so much I think I am going to keep it as a sovenier. Some things are better appreciated that way rather than just gobbling it down.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY!
i never feel older on my birthday day. i always feel the same, just another day in my life. life goes on. i usually try to do something special on my birthday, like going out somewhere with someone, usually family. going out to dinner, a movie, nightlife,etc. and i usually get drunk on my birthday. but that is it...simple but relaxed birthday party...

Hi Fifileigh. Thanks for the kind wishes. Well something kicked in last night and sent me off to bed much earlier than I would have gone. My guess is either the additonal year took its toll , or tierdness just kicked in. Its always nice to be able to something nice for that special day. Sometimes I want it noisy and busy and another time just calm and quite with a few or that special someone. (lol)

Honestly, I do make a big deal about birthdays since it only comes once a year and it is considered to be my personal special day. I do get upset when people forget my birthday but it is okay. Just as long as I am happy that day then it is all good.
