I started a bit late around age 14. Most kids I know today started much earlier, my goddaughter started hers when she was 9. My daughter is 15, but she still don't have her period yet. I think I would just wait a little longer for her to have, but if she doesn't have it by the end of this year, I might have to take her to her doctor and run some tests.

I had mine when I was 13 years old and I noticed that some of my friends had theirs earlier than me. My classmate had her menstruation when she was 11 years old. My mom was about 17 years old when she started.

I was 10 years old when I first got mine. I think I was one of the first ones in my class to get it. I remember a friend of mine had to carry a pad in her purse from the time she was 8 just in case she started while at school. Her mom had started very early, so she though my friend might too.

Oh, mine started later than you are. I've got mine when I was 16. They say that if you started late, you gonna lose it later. I'm not so sure about that.

I, too, started late. I first had my menstruation when i was 15. Eventhough all my friends in school had been talking about their period, and the school is teaching us about it, i got scared when i first had mine that i had to call my Mom and showed her my underwear. My Mom was the one who was excited when i had mine. She made me do things so that, as she said, would make my period last for only 3 days each month and that i would not suffer from dysmenorrhea. Well, actually she's right. My period is only up to 3 days and i don't suffer from menstrual cramps.
