There are many ways to say thank you to our teachers and this woman has her own way to express her gratitude! Collins, 40, donated her kidney this week to Darren Paquin, who teaches English at Elwood Community High School, where she graduated back in 1986. Collins' husband, Dean, said she offered Paquin one of her kidneys after she learned that Paquin was experiencing kidney failure. "She knew she wanted to do it and she knew she was supposed to," he said. How many of you would have done the same to your teacher? That is such a selfless think to do and I think it is wonderful that she was able to save a life. I would do it for anyone who meant a great deal to me.

Wow that is just awesome. I think that if it was a teacher that I actually knew and had a really good friendship with then I would do it. I had this teacher in high school who was just the best. She taught me junior and senior year Government and Economics. She knew that I had high blood pressure and whenever she saw me with junk food she would take it away and give me a fruit. I appreciate that and I miss her. She moved with her husband to the Philippines. But if she ever needed something like that then I would do it. Of course I would have to think about it first.
