I agree, no offense given but I think that black people have been overacting on racisim, when they go around calling us random names.

I agree 100% racism seems to always get blames on white agains black but it is not the case...although someone pointed out to me that racism laws in Australia is to protect the minority well the way things are going in Australia the tables will be turned in no time...people are becoming too sensitive these days in particular anyone who is not white....

I would agree with you, I'm from England but I think we're having the same problems as the US with immigration and government wanting to protect people who aren't white, but are being overprotective to the point where non-whites can do no wrong, I read somewhere that a non-white man beat up his white neighbour because the neighbour was racist, he ended up in hospital, the non-white didn't get charged for GBH or anything but the white neighbour got charged for racism. Also there was a Muslim who sued a school and she got £1000 compensation for "damage to feelings", that's just ridiculus being compensated for being upset.

why is there more racism against white people? its true that if a african american protests for black rights and pride people think its ok but when white people do that they take that as racism. anyway white is the majority. im a latin by the way

I agree totally. If we go to a foreign culture overseas we try to fit in or get out. They try to tell us that we're wrong all the time but we're not allowed to respond or we're called racist. My family hail from all over the world and are many different colors and we all agree. Here in Canada many people from Asian countries ignore me if I smile at them or try to talk to them but if I did it back I would be called racists. I get really annoyed as I always try my hardest to be nice to everyone whatever they look like or are from. Whites seem to be at the bottom of the pile these days.

When you go shopping for bandaids do they match your skin? When you go shopping for hair products you don't have trouble do you? Do you have to search for a special salon to fix your hair? Do your kids board games have black characters? Are more toys white or black? If you walk down the street is someone afraid your going to rob them or have your gang rob them? Do you have to worry that you got your job because you are the token whitie in the office? Do you have to constantly prove that you are an equal? When you dicuss racism are you worried about how resources are being allocated? Should we be a melting pot or just a jumbled salad? The more positive interactions you have with people who are different the more likely you will be less racist. Whatever you do don't get too upset with the bad experiences. Life can be rough for us all no matter what we look like.

I do have to agree with you to a certain degree, If we have a white college fund we are prejudice, but blacks are allowed to have the Negro College fund and we don't get to use it, I just don't understand this. I guess no matter what race will always be an issue, I have no problem with black or white or any race for that matter, I have a bi-racial daughter, but someone is always yelling prejudice, I wish it would all stop and everyone would just get along, but as we know this is not a perfect world so we must live with all of this.

I agree. I've looked at blacks wearing "Black is beautiful" shirts, and at Hispanics wearing "Brown is beautiful" shirts and wondered what would happen if I wanted to wear a "White is beautiful" shirt. I'll bet I'd get called racist!

I have to say not only one race gets picked, but ALL races gt picked on at one time or another, so just suck it up and get on with ur life, or sit here and complain, there's lots of ppl that get picked on and turn out better then what they expected to be in life

It's good to air your feelings. It sounds like you have been victimized by other races. The pendulum so to speak, had swung so far in the opposite direction that it's now our turn to get a dose of our own medicine, as a race. Doesn't feel too good, does it. Sound harsh I know, but until the pendulum swings as far in the other direction, as it did in one direction, it cannot balance out and become centered.

When children have parents of different races, they get the best of both races. This is an advantage that can and should be recognized and appreciated by all.

racism - bred by ignorance, it is unfortunately a part of our lives...
I think it really depends on where you are. Racism stems from ignorance only, and so if you around ignorant white people, then there is more racism towards black people. If you are surrounded by ignorant black people, then you'll find more racism towards white people. Racism isn't racist... it can be found in all colors, nationalities, everywhere, unforunately. I don't know that there is a way to quantify who suffers most from it.

Nah, I dont think white people really know much about racism. I have at times felt "reverse racism" but wouldn't even begin to know what it feels like to be hated just by the color of my skin.

WOW!!!! Where do I start. White people have not have a history of HATE in this country to deal with for centuries. We dont have words siad to us that have had hate behind them forever. So when people want to take their power back, they should have a right to as long as it is not harming others.

Thank you for the discussion! My husband constantly is complaining to me about how there is nothing for white males. I agree. Being white is now the most unhelpful thing you can be. Jobs have to have a certain percentage of other races- and yet, there is no requirement to how many white people they have to have. Try getting a scholarship- they have them if you're anything but white. It's a mess.
