Hi man,I'm also from China. I think the total free nine years' compulsory education is a good policy. Well I think our elemental education is quite good but higher education...We have a long way to catch up with other countries.

Yes, at the time being, Chinese government is making great effort to popularize compulsory education. Kids today are really luck to enjoy free education.

Hiii Well I am actually doing my degree in the field of management. And it is very interesting and challenging. Here in Mauritius, education is compulsory till the age of 16 and education is nearly free, only tuition fees and exam's fees need to be paid :) The system of education is well structured here. Tell me about education system in other countries?

In the UK, it's about 11 years compulsory education, then a further optional two years, all available at state schools, or private if you wish to pay. Then you can go on to university, or other further education, most university and college education is at least partially funded by the state.

I dream this kind of education system when I was a student. We had to pay a lot for education at that time. But now, there are 9 years' free education for all kids. They only need pay for high school and colleague/unversity. However, it still costs a lot of money, many families caouldn't afford that at all.

It sounds good that your government pay for nine yrs' compulsory education, not like in Vietnam,it still cost lots of money.we must pay all fees from elementary to high school.one yr fees can cost about 100$ (for elementary) or about 200$ or more in higher education. I'm Vietnamese but my grandparents came from mainland China long time ago. They lived in ChaoZhou,Guangdong province.I can speak Diojiu and a bit Madarin ! Nice to meet you!
