Do you enjoy calling your loved ones silly short names/nicknames? I'm not very affectionate and I don't do it too often but I must admit some personalized nicknames make one feel very loved and special. Which is the funniest one you've been called or called someone? Which one was most relevant considering your personality and features? I've been in a relationship with and older guy and he used to call me his little one, that was both simple and sweet. Baby is a bit overused and shorty is not very flattering...:)

Ever since the birth of my daughter my boyfriend has referred to my as mommy. His dad always calls his mom mommy, so I guess that is where he gets it from. It's fine when our daughter is around but when we're out alone he calls me mommy it's a little wierd, LOL. I call him babe and have done so since we first met over ten years ago. I call my daughter muchkin, chicken little, munchkin butt, sweet pea and a bunch of other little names based on how she is acting. Like when she is in a fussy mood I call her "crabby patty".

Crabby patty sounds fun lol I know what you mean,my cousin's husband calls her sis and it's kinda cool but when she's sitting on his lap it makes you think of an incest:)))))

I occasionally call my girlfriend 'Nicotine'. It's just a little play on words since her name is Nicola and the obvious joke being that I'm addicted to her. I often use names like 'Sweetness', 'Schweety', 'My Love' or 'Schnookums', especially when greeting her. I just like to show my affection to her and this is just one small way to do so.

My boyfriend calls me bubbles. Silly, right? lol He does it 'cause I fell asleep one evening while we were watching tv in bed and I guess I was blowing bubbles in my sleep, lol. So he teases me. I call him hunny bunches when I'm in a really good mood, 'cause it's probabl the cutest thing I've ever heard. Or I just call him sweets or lovey. :)

My husband and I call each other "LAB". It's like a Filipino slang for LOVE. Back then, we just call each other like that when there's no other people around. We thought others may find it a little bit corny. But as the years went on, we didn't care anymore if others can hear us calling each other like that. Even total strangers. We even say that endearment in front of my father who doesn't seem to have a romantic bone in him.

I already used those names you mentioned, to call my girlfriends. One name is for one girl only. I remember I called my girlfriend who's very caring so I called her "sweetie". The other girl, I called her "baby". But I already ended counting girls. And now I have my wife, we call each other "honey"...

I call my hubby "cheri" which is French for "dear" and an extension of the word "cher" which means expensive. Sometimes I call him "poulet" which means chicken, for no apparent reason. He calls me "poisson" (fish) because I have fish cheeks (puffy, etc) or "Madelaine" (well) coz I cry like a well, as the French saying goes. Our nicknames border from loveable to downright hilarious but it's our way of bonding. Somehow, I notice that men don't seem to do the whole mushy nickname very well...or at least that's what I observed back at home. :)
