You expect 100% accurate reports coming out of a situation like that as it's unfolding? This was a horrible tragedy and the media was not there. They were getting reports from folks who were there...folks who obviously were unsure for a period of time how many shooters there were, how many and who was dead and injured. I don't find anything strange about it.

Funny what comes crawling out of the woodwork once a lawsuit is filed. I would say that this should be the end of it but, I agree with the other responder...that tape will be released and create a media blitz...which Miss Prejean will benefit from.

Of course they are, and it's wrong. Workplace health centers should be far down the list of facilities that receive the vaccine, with all hospitals and community based health clinics as well as physicians given priority. Those Wall Street fat cats can go to a medical facility to receive the vaccine just like everyone else.

No, revellanotvanella, I don't believe that we will. My husband and I have been involved with the V.A. for the past 7 years and I've seen some positive changes in the past few years in their response to this illness. Back in 1968 when he first returned from Nam with what was classified as "adjustment disorder", there was no help available for our servicemen. Now, the medical centers take addres...

I agree with Annie, Nets. I used to have to go onto Andrews Air Force base regularly and the only armed personnel I saw were the guards at the gates. My husband who is a veteran told me that there are regulations dictating when you carry or wear a firearm on a military base. The facility where the attack happened had nothing to do with weapons training.

"This is the government distributing this vaccine, and if they are swayed by the money shouldn't your ire be directed at the government officials who made these decisions?" According to an article that I read, the individual states are in charge of the vaccine distribution, not the federal government.

Does either plan do anything about the outrageously high deductables the private insurance companies currently offer? IMO that's more of a problem than the cost of the premium. You pay the bill every month but get nothing for it until you've spent thousands of your own dollars first every year.

Dragon, our veterans deserve quality care and, in the case of PTSD, that means psychiatrists who specialize in treating this illness and support groups comprised of other vets who have similar feelings and problems. You can't count of local community groups to provide that because treatment usually involved medication as well as therapy. I do believe that there should be more outreach programs ...

Walter Reed was a disgrace and I was actually shocked when I learned about the dismal conditions there. My husband has received care at the V.A. medical centers in Baltimore and West Palm Beach and we've never been disappointed. Believe me, I watch over his healthcare like a hawk because he has several medical conditions and I would never tolerate substandard care when it comes to him. He has a...

Partners who go off the deep end...how do you deal with it?

Some of you may know that my husband is a Viet Nam vet who has PTSD. He's on various medications that keep his mood level and, for the most part, he's okay and a good husband. But, then there's...

Are those your kids or grandkids? I'm not sure anymore - I went back through some of your old posts and you were talking about grandkids.

Anyway, they're adorable!!=D

South Central, FL huh? I've been to Tampa and also Jacksonville. That was a long time ago. Haven't had a chance to go back to FL but my grandmother is inviting me to go crabbing with her! I'm looking for vacation time and save up some money for it as well.

Have a good day!
