I'm up to three gardens. How many do you have and what do you have in them?

Window sill, porch and outdoor gardens. So far, windowsill has aloe vera, did have chives until I transplanted it. Now has basil because the basil hated the porch, but loves indoors. The porch has potatoes, carrots (if they ever come up), onions, and lettuce (cool spring crops right now). Soon to have peas, cabbage, and probably more carrots/potatoes. Outdoors I have mint, thyme (it came back!), lots and lots of chives, oregano, onions, soon to have peas and carrots.

That depends, are you also counting berry plots. If so I have 7 altogether. I have 4 different berry plots, a straw berry, a black berry, a red raspberry and a black raspberry. Then I have a strip down each side of my house and one in front with mostly flowers, but with mint and horseradish also.

I count everything, but I didn't include my flowers. So I guess I have 5 gardens because I have two flower gardens. Cool that you have all those kinds of berries. I want to pot up some strawberries myself today since the dang things aren't doing anything because they're incompetition with my grass. I have the only lawn I know that is 80% grass and 20% strawberry plants that are there for decoration. So if I get them out of the grass, I think they will produce. Take care and thanks.

I have two veggie gardens that we did last yr but other than my lavendar, rhubarb and strawberries theres nothing in them since its still too chilly at night....and we are currently putting in two more gardens (both flower gardens) which again have nothing in them since I'm still building them AND I'm thinking I might add another two gardens but thats not offical yet.

I love rhubarb and strawberries. Lavendar is neat as a real plant, most of the stuff you buy like perfume is weird smelling compared to the real stuff. Sounds like you're very hard wroking if you will have 4 to 6 gardens this year. It's cool here still, too. Only leaf and hardy root crops can be put in now. Pansies, crocuses, and joquils (spelling?) are cool weather flowers that I have up right now. Good luck with all your gardens. Thanks for your response and take care.

I have things in pots galore and just put a few of them into the ground - three beans, two cucumbers and two sugar snap peas. I've got tomatoes, more cukes, plenty more beans, and some peppers still in pots. Some are in containers large enough that they can stay there, some will probably go into the ground eventually. One of my fears came true overnight, though. There is a suspicious looking indentation and pile of dirt immediately beside one of my green beans that I put into the ground yesterday. Methinks fair kitty-cat used it for the toilet.

There is a light that you can use (if it's just urine, feces, you don't need it) to tell you if urine has gone there. Fair putty-tat may be unfairly accused, are there roaming dogs? Wild cats? Or moles and other things that it could be? Make sure you do good detective work. I had snails eat my plants one year and rabbits the next. Beans, cucumbers and sugar snap peas, really cool. Too cold for the first two just yet up here, but we're getting there. Take care and thanks.
