What is the cheapest way to travel, and what websites have you used to book your flights other than orbitz, travelocity, priceline, and expedia?

Busses and trains are pretty ecconomical if you don't mind taking a few extra hours or even days to get where you are going. If you want to get there fast, find a good travel agent who will find you cheap airfare. If you are going to fly, don't think about first glass or business, enjoy economy class. First class won't get you there faster, and will only end up costing you more.

I always fly economy because I don't think first class is much different.

I have used a site called Cheap Flights, then phoned a few travel consultants to see which flight would be the best deal. I don't only consider price but comfort like the amount of leg room and flight times. I like to know if there are any stops to refuel. I prefer to fly with a high quality airline when I travel a long distance like from the UK to Australia. I sometimes check the web site of a charter airline because it offers cheap flights to Mexico and the Maldives that I have been to, and Brazil and Costa Rica that I haven't been to yet.

Travelzoo is an excellent site. You can also find out alot about airline flights from fare compare.
