My best friend Hua was almost scammed last week by someone claiming to be her cousin! It was past midnight, around 2 o'clock. She was woke up by a phone call coming from her "cousin".She was sleepy and barely thinking straight. The “cousin” said he was in serious trouble and needed cash to escape. My friend was halfway to the ATM, pajamas and all, before she thought to ask how Uncle Li is doing. Of course he said,"fine" , but the “cousin” didn't know she doesn't have an Uncle Jiang. That was close!

wow! Good thing, she was able to recognize it as early as possible! Personally, I have not tried anything like this but I know a friend who entertain some scam from txt, she got a message that she won a certain amount and for her to claim it, she has to deposit a tax payment in the given bank account and also to give her account number for them to send the prize! Everyone advised her including me not to believe it, how come she will win she didn't join any thing or buy any lottery ticket, but she was hard headed! She tried to send some amount and the guy asked another additional money, that was the time, she realize it was a scam!

I have never been scammed. How terrible that someone claiming to be a relative did that to her and in the middle of the night to boot.
