Woman kicked out of ladies room

I woman was kicked out of a restaurant (in Manhattan) and she's suing mad. The bouncer (wow, bouncer in a restaurant, I live a sheltered life) thought she was a man. When she refused to leave the lady's room the bouncer did get rude, that was unnecessary, I believe as she showed him i.d. saying she was indeed a woman. Now the state is considering making all bathrooms both gender.. I saw a picture of the lady, and she does indeed look like a man and dressed like a man completely (no breasts it seemed like). I don't have a problem with any of that, after all it's the land of the free and I like/love all (well most) of the human family. But if I saw her in the restroom with me, I would very likely think she was a man. So, would you feel comfortable sharing public restrooms with both sexes? (I wouldn't mind gay men in the restroom, but how're you going to determine that?)

Oh no i would not want to share a bathroom with men..They do have these unisex bathrooms but it is a one toilet room, and only one person at a time..I would feel uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with men at the same time...

No Way, We have enough of men oogling at us when we walk down on the roads making rest rooms common would be so hell. I would not like men in the same rest rooms as I am in. I hope that never happens.

whether the person looked like a man or woman the bouncer should not have been that rude. people need to realize that there is only one person that can judge you and that is god. we should all just try to get along, never know when you may need that person to help you out one day.

Well, I've never seen a bouncer in the bathroom and I've lived in Dallas so it must be a new thing. I think as long as she showed id as to her being a woman (just to clear up any misunderstandings) then it shouldn't have been a big deal and I don't know why she was kicked out. As for the both gender bathrooms I can see that leading to alot of problems. Both for men and women. A woman who feels she's a man in the men's restroom and a straight man walks in...she's going to be upset when he may naturally hit on her. Also how do you know that the guy in the ladies room is really gay and not just saying that so he can gain entrance. I say what ever you have in your pants should determine which restroom you go into...I go into the one with the skirt...simple.

A bouncer in the bathroom.. wouldn't that be something!? I think a lady from the restroom reported her or something, if I'm remembering the article correctly.. Bouncers in restrooms would be a sad state of affairs wouldn't it!

I would have a very big problem with making all the restrooms unisex. Having been forced to use the men's bathrooms before (girl's was full, and I checked and made sure no men were present) I know how dirty they are. Lots of little boys urinate on something other than the toilet bowl. Guys don't always aim that well, and they of course don't put the seat down. Which is not a big deal if it is a guy's restroom. I'm sorry this woman had to be embarrassed, but that is not something that happens all the time. Please lord don't let us have to share the bathrooms with the male gender!!!
