Tornadoes

Does anyone else live in an area with high tornado activity? I live in Georgia, and on mothers day a tornado tore our little town to pieces, at least 5 homes were completely destroyed. One mobile home was flipped over, another flipped over and exploded, nothing left but pieces. Both had people inside at the time. Three years ago, our home was picked up by a tornado and slammed back down 8 feet forward. We were inside at the time. So when I saw the sky looking the same as it did three years ago on mothers day, we left. We beat the tornado by 30 minutes! It is getting to the point where if the wind blows even a little to fast, I am ready to leave! Anyone else had alot of tornado close calls? Tell me about them!

First of all, I'm glad that you and your family are okay. I'm in Florida and we don't get a lot of tornado activity here but we do deal with hurricanes so I know what you mean about staying alert to the weather. When I lived in Maryland we had a rare tornado touch down not too far from my home which destroyed a small town. We really didn't have any safe place inside of the house to stay if it had been heading our way so, like you, we would have had to outrun it.
