I had it but they did not catch it in time. I had got up from a nape and could not see anything. When I got to the hospital they said if I would not have got there when I did we would have died. I ahd my daughter the next day I was 35 weeks She was 3lb 13oz. They took her sright to the NCU. Preclampsia is very high blood pressure which can have alot of problems behind it if not cought in time. In my case they did not catch it till it was almost to late.

Busdriver, It is very good that you did get to the hospital in time. this preclampcia is a very bad thing, I never heard of it before until it happened to my daughter. I am very happy that you and your daughter are both o.k. Too bad that the doctors did not find it sooner.

when I was 36 weeks pregnant I had a discussion with my midwife and she suggested because I had very high blood pressure and my urine also looked like I might have preclampsia. I was really upset and worried. She arranged tests to be done at the hospital. They thought my baby was small and so gave me an ultrasound scan. Then they found out my baby has spina bifida which was very upsetting. Luckily I didn't have preclampsia and my baby son was born at home at 39 weeks pregnancy. When I was at my pregnancy class with my first baby expected a lady in my group had preclampsia. She was put in a hospital bed and had to have complete bed rest. I am so glad that your preclampsia was caught and your daughter was born then well cared for. I know the excellent job that the NCU do. Your little girl was so tiny and I am sure she was adorable looking.

I had this with my first daughter, not as bad but they induced me instead of letting me go over due just to be safe, she was really poorly when born due to the speed of the birth and she went into shock and wasnt breathing she spent a little time in NICU, I have to say it was the worst time of my life not something I would wish on anyone, its sad when they dont catch it in time. My second pregnancy I was set to high risk but then was found to have a kidney disease (not pregnancy related) so was high risk anyway she had to come early but was fine
