The magic eight(8) ball have you ever had one?

For those of you that have one or seen one you know I am not talking about the 8 ball in a game of pool billards, but a wacky oversized ball that looks like one though, that you ask it yes and no questions and then check for your answer by looking into the little plastic window. I love them they are cute and great to have at slumber parties or anywhere. They can keep girls occupied for hours sometimes. They can lift up your mood with the answers you want,but also make you gloom when it gives one you don't want. I found a place you can get a eight(8) ball placed on your desk top or you can just save it to favorites which is what I did and whenever in doubt about something give it a click or shake instead of tossing a coin. Do you have a 8 ball? Have you ever had one? Do you still have one? Or do you think they are only for children and are childish? I just think of them as something fun to have and play with once in a while I don't base my whole life on what I should or shouldn't do on using one. So what are your thoughts? All thoughts about this subject are welcome.

Yep, I used to love my magic 8 ball. It was so much fun to tease people with. Ask a silly question and get a silly answer. I think they still have them in some novelty stores.

Hello sisterjinx, thanks for the response. Yeah I bought mine at Walmart for $5.94. Hopefully they will something at all the kids and some adults will enjoy for a long time to come. They are fun to have at parties. As long as they aren't tooken for the truth in all matters and remains just something to just have fun with.

Yes. I did have one of the 8 balls when I was a young girl. I thought it was a lot of fun for me and my friends to ask it wuestions, to see what the response would be. i also bought one for my children years ago.

Hi mtdewgurl! I don't have that magic 8 ball but I sure would like one. It might be a childish game but who knows, it might give you the answer you're looking for. haha.. I do like stuffs like that and it does not only entertain the child in me but gives a smile to my adult side.

Well if you follow the link faith210 it will get you your very own 8 ball for your computer, not the same as the real thing you can hold in yor hands but works well, I have it saved in my favorites and bookmarked so I don't have to download it but can still use it. It is good to not have to act our age all the time and take to our silly side once in awhile. Makes us happier and more interesting I guess. Happy Mylotting yourself.Have a good day.

Yes I have used one. I had one when I was younger. I think that they were fun. But only up to a certain age. No, I no longer have one. I may get one for my daughter when she gets a bit older. She may find it entertaining.

My niece keeps taking mine but I finally bought another one. I think it might good in help in getting kids to do their chores Especially if you make it a fun game. Does so and so have to clean their room today atleast maybe 4 times of the 7 it will be a yes or decidedly so answer. Well it might not work for all but it works sometimes. I think they are cute to play around with especially at slumber parties.

I had one when I was younger. I have to say they are a little childish but I wouldn't mind playing with one again. The magic eight ball never spoke the truth for me but it was fun to fool around with.

Hey skinnychick, I appreciate that you responded to my discussion even if it was a bit silly. I guess some things just bring out the kid in me, I still ask the ball a question for fun every now and then not all the time. Hmm, I wonder if the eight(8)ball is alot like a man? You never get a straight answer or if you do it might not be what you wanna hear,they are childish sometimes,but fun to fool around with..look over me I am being silly..

I use to have one years ago!They are so fun and when i see one i still ask questions and give it a good shake...If it gives me the answer I want I will play with it again..if it gives me a bad answer I will pout and walk off like a kid!I think they are cool..If I ever see another one I am going to buy it...:P

when i was younger i had one. i am big fan of high school musical and they have a 8 ball with hsm on it and i am waiting for the 3rd movie .....

I've never had one of these, but I did want one when I was younger. Fortunately one of my friends had one so I did get the opportunity to play with it. 
I do find these things to be a bit childish, but fun at the same time. After all, where else can you ask any question and not be judged for it?

True,thanks for the response I appreciate it. I once seen one for a crystal ball but I don't know if that is still around anymmore or remember how it worked..If we can laugh at ourselves and poke fun occasionally then we need to lighten up cause we are too serious.

Yeah, I had one when I was younger. Good for entertainment purposes but other than that nothing more than an oversized 8 ball.

Those were the days huh? False hopes or getting them crushed by what a little ball said. Iknow I used to get so sad by what it said sometimes lucky for me that 9 times out of ten it was a good answer. Thanks for the response.

Oh, we had several when we were kids at my house. They were really pretty silly, but it made for fun silly games. Sometimes used as a means of insulting each other, "Is So-And-So ugly?" I guess that wasn't a very nice game to play.
I bought one for my wife some years ago, I think, but it has since disappeared, gotten lost, or broken. I'm not sure which.

I would also think they would be great at slumber parties for girls...as a means of entertainment. I have one...and the kids like it some. No, for some reason, I never did have one. I suppose it was just one of those things that never really interested me, for some reason. I never really thought of it as something childish, something that only kids should have, or anything like that. I never thought of it that way. I wouldn't think less of a friend or someone if they had one.
