Yes I trust my online friends, I have had them for years and they are very good to me, some are better than my real life friends in so many different ways.

Online friends are just that -one compartmentilized piece of someone that they put into words-- Real life friends that you see, touch and speak to in person, you know their moods and if youv'e spent much time with them wheather you can trust them or not.

I feel there is no difference bewtween people online and offline. People are offline just the same as they are online. Just as it takes time to build up a real friendship offline the same applies to online friendships. If a person becomes my friend then I trust them. 'Friend' is a huge word which has a huge implication. If I cannot trust a person then they are not what I consider a real friend.

I've been on the net for over ten years and rarely have I met anyone I couldn't trust. Of course, I wouldn't send them money or anything--although I've been part of fund drives for online friends that have fallen on hard times--but I like them and trust them with my friendship. I've met some in person after years of knowing them online and they're wonderful people.

I can understand. It takes time before you can trust someone completely but not all people on the internet are bad. I think before you trust anyone especially people in the net, you have to get to know them first. And you really have to be careful in choosing people whom you can really trust. In my case, I have already found few good people here on internet. Some became my bestfriends which I can really rely on.... We exchanged postcards, sometimes gifts on special occasion like birthdays or exchanging text messages sometimes even phonecalls. And soon, very soon I am going to meet one of my online friends... Infact, this is my third meeting already...kinda excited!

I don't easily believe the friends online as compared to my normal friends as in this world we can't trust even the close ones as the world is fully corrupted and i don't trust anyone so easily. So for me it will take a great time to have trust on a friend at internet.I know there is not that much difference between the normal and the online friend but it depends on the type of person and his/her conduct and behaviour with us.

I have trust in my online friends. However, at first i'm still cautious in giving away important information about me. When they earned enough my trust and trust me as well too that's when our relationship gets deeper.
